Daydream thread... without the rose-tinted specs

Better day today, but I'm somewhat disabled, and not just because of the huge curry I had last night....
:o
I've lost my specs! I have the reading pair, but the bi-polar ones are missing. What's more, DW is in Brum, so I can't even blame her.
Around curry time, amply washed down with a beer or two, I seem to remember something falling down the back of something and me thinking, "Oh, well that doesn't seem too serious." The trouble is I can't remember where the 'something' was.
Anyway, I've looked down the back of all the easy 'somethings,' so now I have the hard ones, like the filing cabinet, to do. Until I find 'em I'm effectively marooned. Arrrggghhh! :mad:0 -
Quiet in here today! Am I wearing the wrong anti-perspirant?:undecided
I found them. It was easy once I retrieved my old pair, which were packed up in the junk room. The proper ones were just masquerading in the tangle of my computer's wires, having fallen off the back of the desk....
Just a pity I spent an hour or so checking behind other things. :wall:
The barn is going well, but I'm being rained-off now.
There is no other news, except that the day started very noisily here, when a tractor pulling a large trailer of sheep roared and bounced its way down past the barn conversions at 06.15. Being a good citizen, I noticed this deviation from the normal pattern of events, and my mind turned to rustling......but then I remembered the twonk who lives on the end had recently questioned the tenant farmer's right to use the lane! :rotfl:Some people never learn!:p0 -
I have had two days off doing stuff with my cold so have been playing catch up this morning.0

You smell fine from here :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Although can't say the same for the fields - farmers have been 'fart-erlising' as we say in Suffolk and the odour does permeate somewhat through the house.
Glad you found your bi-polar specs Dave. I wear mine all the time so don't tend to lose them. Mr BD on the other hand.....even though he has a couple of pairs.
Anyone had any dealings with VoiceAbility an NHS Complaints Advocacy service? Our patient/carer group has been trying for years to get the NHS Service Provider to actually do what they committed to do. I have had a couple of phone conversations with VoiceAbility and they have been helpful so far....fingers crossed that they will be able to help.It is a good idea to be alone in a garden at dawn or dark so that all its shy presences may haunt you and possess you in a reverie of suspended thought.

LIR - have you been poorly?
Alfie - what do you sell on ebay? I sometimes sell stuff on ebay, just stuff from around the house and clothes. When my health was a bit better I did some comping and would sometimes sell unwanted prizes. The first prize might be an ipad - which I did want, but the second prize might be duff. Best things to sell were dvd's - so easy to pack up:)
DH bought me a small box of chocs with the shopping from Tesco, then spoilt it by saying he only got them because they were on special offer :wall:It is a good idea to be alone in a garden at dawn or dark so that all its shy presences may haunt you and possess you in a reverie of suspended thought.

Just a cold better days. With my other health problems little things can knock me out a bit, so I decided to do NOTHING for a couple of days in the hope I could be less knocked out.
Seems to be working.. My ears are quite congested and I'm struggling to hear, otherwise I'm ok. I quite enjoying the peace and quiet tbh.

in fact i think a high percentage i sell is other peoples "stuff" which rather tells you the value of "my" stuff.....:rotfl::rotfl:
now i would have been chuffed to get the chocs...i dont care if they came free with 3 gallons of fuel or 10 crisp bags:D

I'm with you on that!Having always been MSE, I applaud any smart buys, freebies, stuff that's in lieu of something else, you name it.....anything that hasn't been half-inched, that is.
Got the barn opening almost closed up, and the good news is a standard sized bit of wood will complete it. The bad news is that I've none of that size!:(
So, I either rip a 10' length by hand saw, go to MVF tomorrow or just wait. I'll probably wait, as it's going to tip down. I suppose that would actually give me plenty of time to saw...... Hmm...
Anyway, the stream is back, permanently, so the ground must be ready for fencing now. Pete knows I don't want the sheep till he's done it....:D0
