When we were newbies & for the next 26 years we could say the same thing. Unfortunately, they don't necessarily stay that way.

Sometimes the 'dream' doesn't last long...
This one sold exactly a year ago. Since then, a load of money has gone into it, and now it's back with a £15k increase in asking price.

Sometimes it's money. Sometimes it's health. Sometimes it's a change of circumstance like, say, divorce.
Whatever the reason, it's always a shame when people find their particular dream is unattainable.
I've never known a time when so many of the local properties (both business & residential) were all up for sale. It speaks volumes about the extra problems of rural living....... & the ruddy awful weather. A good number are probably trying to shift while the sun shines :rotfl:0 -
I just been over on another board, and it looks as though things were going awol for lots of posters all over mse.

going to start looking out for old scaffolding boards to make some raised beds etc, ready for next year..so hopefully next year everything will be fitting into place at the ranch.
Davesnave... I dont know if I have asked this before, what is the diff between a greenhouse and a polytunnels in growing terms? I know you can grow practically all year round in a poly, but why cant you do it in a greenhouse??
Hubby was looking at ploytunnels last night ( want to put a smiley face in here), up until now, its been me looking at things for the garden, but now it looks as though he is starting to genuinely interested ( well ok being a little bit nosey)Work to live= not live to work0 -
