So you are working, the loft conversion was justified, you didn't buy the tablet. Ok, fair enough. The issue though is that holiday funded charities are available for those who have just run out of ways to afford a holiday in any other way. They don't have the funds for any luxuries and are unlikely to ever be able to.

You on the other hand seem to have a choice. You could sell the tablet and put that money towards the holiday. You could do without the clinique products for a year (I don't used anything but soap and water and I too look up to 10 years younger!!!), you could wait until the business is doing better again.

Instead you believe you should be entitled to your luxuries AND a holiday NOW because your son is disabled? Your son being disabled doesn't mean he forcibly deserve more of a holiday than any other child or that he would forcibly benefit more. The fact that you and the rest of your family have to cope with the demands of a child suffering from mild autism doesn't mean that your family is under more pressure than many other families struggling with their finances.

Charities struggle more and more to raise money. Surely priorities should be given to children who are in care, or who have life limited illness and who would never be able to experience a holiday but for the kindness of these charities?

This particular charity is funded by the state. ;)

Sorry Pollycat, it is you that is coming across as the stalker!

    Sorry, you're wrong.

I'm not the one trawling through the OP's old posts to post stuff in an attempt to prove her a free-loader.

I'm just posting on this thread and pointing out to notanewuser - who has been doing a hatchet job on the OP - that I remember that she's not as lily-white as she might like to think.

Stones and glass-houses and all that.

My inlaws kindly bought the children their tablets for christmas.

Can,t believe I,m explaining myself on this site but I will
Who isn,t in debt this day and age !!! We are in debt as we converted the attic for our ds to have his "OWN" room and space which was much needed

Nobody has a clue on this site about the whole of peoples backgrounds and I am not one to spout of about it.

We are working people and I have worked since I was 15 and have put hell of a lot of tax into this country for the past 30 years and still is.

As someone mentioned, other people take it so we thought we would look into it.

    Oh yes, LEGOLAND>

Middle son,s 9th birthday in April... Again was looking but was expensive so we didn,t end up going.

    Again, this was an enquirey

The above 2 posts quoted my posts.

I have actually been defending you so I don't know why you've singled those 2 posts out to reply to.

Not being racist or anything but have you seen the amount of people coming into this country over the past 10 years and not paid a penny into our country and claiming everything they possibly can. I see and hear it just in the local school alone, never mind the council offices and so forth.
    Actually you are being racist.

I'm with you on that, Person_one.

    Apples & pears?

I think Nikki has said all there is to say about comparisons in behaviour between the OP of this thread and your previous thread.

I'm not being racist or anything......

    Clearly you are.

How would you like it if I started a conversation about disabled people with the phrase "I'm not being prejudiced, but kids with autism and their families get loads of handouts".......

It's exactly the same and you should be ashamed of yourself.

I'm sorry, are you really trying to tell me that a meaningless sh@g nearly 20 years ago, which resulted in no STI, unwanted pregnancy or anything else that would cost the state money, and in fact only hurt somebody who was already cheating on the bloke is the same as trying to screw every penny they can from the state for several years while working as little as possible and paying close to zero tax?!

You seem to forget that I apologised for my behaviour on that thread, and expressed how much I regretted the incident and I left the thread run rather than get it deleted/delete the offending posts.

The OP's defence to the things people have said on here (quoting her own posts) is to be openly racist.

Not really the same thing, are we? Hence apples and pears. ;)

Oh well, that's all right then.

You seem to forget (or maybe you don't know) that this thread, if the OP had posted on the Benefits board would have been locked and deleted because of the downright nastiness of some of your posts.

I don't know why you and Tiddlywinks seem to feel that it's OK to attack the OP in such a manner.

Do you think this is a nice thing to write?:
Have you considered literacy courses? Might help you get work and get you contributing to society again. The taxman is missing your pennies. ;)

Have you never made a spelling mistake or grammatical error in one of your posts?

As for apples & pears in relation to your thread, I have my own opinion about that, thanks all the same.

And I've already made my opinion clear to the OP about her racist post.

Pollycat - any chance of not turning this into an extension of your stalking of Notanewuser...

It's not clever, interesting or relevant to this thread.
