It would have been a shame if they stuck to the rule where you cant sell your xbox games ect as i normaly play a game though and online for a bit then i get bored and sell it and get another game xD0

Xbox One for me, and to be honest I didn't mind the need to check-in, my 360 and PS3 are both online anyways.
I hope that both companies have learned from each other - online play for the PS3 is abysmal, and is certainly inferior to XBox live, but PS+ is fantastic for the 'free' games. I'd be interested in how 'Games for Gold' compares.
I hope Sony have also worked out a more efficient patching/download system, speeds on the PSN are terrible, and there's no rhyme or reason why they don't update the installer files on old games - it narks me to have to download a game, install it, then have to download and install additional patches.
Amid all the MS mocking, lets not forget Sony haven't been always been ideal, there was the credit card info theft, the month where their network was down, the firmware updates that brick your system...0 -
Xbox live is so much better that i dont mind paying the subscription evrey year. Psn is really crap but users love it because its free. Well id rather pay and have a good service any day of the week.0

Same for me, but PS+ is excellent. Microsoft should have stolen that idea long ago.0 -
People talk about Live costing £40 however I've never paid more that £27/28 for 12/13 months subscription using codes bought and emailed within minutes online.0

You give one of the main reasons why the online checks were so unpopular, Xbox too has had system crashers, no game play when that happens, if there were some benefit for the user for those checks maybe more would have supported them, the only reason for them was to stop hacking and lending games.0 -
Right, I would have bought an Xbox One even before the turnaround, although its not a turnaround as such, more of a better explanation after some heavy PR Desaster from MS.
I also struggle to understand why people complain that the console has to be online at least once every 24h? My Internet works 24/7 and with BT my Internet has been down once (!!!) over the last 4 years for about 2 hours...
XBOX Live Subscription: Do people knoe that PS+ will cost money as well, around 4 quid per month?
DRM: Would have been great! Technically this could have made things much better. NO CD's/BluRays could have potentially lead to cheaper games. Sharing games with my friends and family would have been a posibility as well.
People complained about Itunes which right now is the Market Leader for Online Music puchases... same System!
For most people its coming down to the fact that they feel that MS is after their money, thats my opinion! Well, Sony wnats it even more with a cheaper console. Not Saying that the PS4 is too cheap, but I would like to see how Sony will keep the price over a periodof about 2 to 3 years, when they are selling a PS3 for a loss already.
You could see it this way: Sony is throwing all eggs in one single basket, which right now appears to be ok, however in the long run I am not sure if it will work for Sony.
Never mind that most are simply ignoring the fact the an Xbox comes with Kinect, while PS4 doesnt have a camera and needs to be purchased seperately.
The only argument I would accept is that as of now, the PS4 is more attractive for gamers only, however, MS console is planning for the future. I would not be surprised if we would be able to sub the Sky Box with an Xbox One completley.0
