    Good Afternoon All

Just got back from town, had to pay the rent/council tax and take some items back to Primark for a refund. Then I happened to see the reduced rail for kids clothes and couldn't resist. Ended up buying, 3 cargo trousers/joggin bottoms & 3 long sleeve layered tops for DD and a t-shirt for DS all for £12. Most of the items was £1 & £2. Bargain!

Nipped into the butchers to stock up on meat.
Not sure whats for dinner later. Will try and use up what we've got, as I dont fancy going to mr T's for the weekly shop!

Only 1 load of washing to get through now, then its all done!
    Bye for now!

Did three machine loads of washing, took books back to the library and put new bedding on our bed.

Went to sainsbury's for some of their meatless mince and will make spag bol or spicy mince with new potatoes for tea. There will be six of us as Dd has a friend home. Dragged the folding bed out for her to use tonight if she is staying over.

Once I have made the tea might go upstairs with a hot water bottle , hot drink and a couple of library books and have a good sneezing and sniffling session. CSI is on tonight - yay - nothing like a gory murder or two to cheer you up.

Have you tried a few drops of St. John's Wort in a small glass of water?

scuzz - Sorry to hear about your friend

Mioliere - Hope you have a great time

OK guys a question for you. If you were happy in your job, but there was very little chance of you ever moving on or getting a higher salary and you were offered a job with good prospects and a double figure payrise would you take it even if you weren't sure it was the right job for you?

    Really difficult dilemma, Tinkerbell.

Money isn't everything, and working with people I like is very important to me so I know what you're saying. However, it might be worth finding out more about this other job just so you're sure. After all, things change,a nd your colleagues might all move on at some point, or the company taken over or all sorts of things. Might be nice people at new company, and stress only happens when you don't feel in control of what's going on - hard to judge from afar.

    tough decision - good luck.

afternoon and thanks for the best wishes for dd
We are just back from the hospital again as I was worried about her foot still. It is very swollen, very very red, and the redness is still creeping outside of the biro lines. I am also having some difficulty keeping her temperature down. I must take her back tomorrow if there is no visible improvement but the good news is that it is not "tracking" up her leg any more but is just sort of spreading out. Me and exoh had a row about it cos I asked him to take us and he was going on about not bothering poor stressed out nurses etc. etc. so there you have it - I am a one woman drain on the NHS he also did the shopping yes but bought everything "finest" so I am out of pocket :(

tinkerbell - what a dilemma! I hate my job sometimes but love the people I work with. For me I guess that is the important thing as I don't get out much :D and my job is pretty parent friendly (good job too as I'm not going to be able to go in tomorrow unless dd's foot is miraculously cured by the morning) but you may have a different set of priorities - good luck

well am still doing the camping washing so will get back to that and playing Florence Nightingale/Room Service to dd

    have a good evening

still raining here, jet i keep a can of wd40 in the boot, great stuff, my engine gets a blast of it occassionally to dispel any dampness, the car that is:D
anniestar hope you are feeling a bit better
Happy Birthday to Queenie's ds :j

tinkerbelle only you can make the decision about your work, i would agree its easy to get into a comfortable rut and we need to stretch ourselves, are you working for a bit extra or are you wanting a career for yourself? once the responsibilities lighten at home you might wish you had taken the more challenging job

    Hi

Jet - I agree with the comments above, the damp problem is usually fixed via an electrical spray from the Motorists Discount, which you spray over the plugs and leads, sound dumb in the shop and I am sure the assistant will help show you where to spray it.

Re the tyres £35 for 2 tyres, that sounds rather low to be good tyres (maybe reused ones - dont touch with a bargepole). Try taking it to Quikfit or someone like that who will tell you what state your tyres and in, and ask for a second opinion on the brakes.

    Anyone heard from Amie?

Must unpack and sort out, the only downside to going on holiday.

    helllo all

havent been around much as Ive been a right old misery guts myself ( hugs to you jet, know the feeling) where everything is one huge effort and not feeling too positive.

W*** is pants really at the mo, we have nothing to do .On the plus side we usually get to go early but themaj of the time we are just playing tetris ( well thats my colleagues, i have MSE :A ) but im bored & p****d off.

I got a lovely dose of food poisioning over the weekend which god knows where it had come from as we hadnt eaten any meat, rice or any other usual suspets. it better not have come from the posh parnsip & parmesan crisps I had! so I was laid up and tearful and in lot of pain from that.

Also the penny dropped I have to go into hospital next week ( id conveniently forgotten!) so Ive been worrying, and thus mardy, tearful and mute about that.

Went to buy myself some clothes to cheer myself up now Im DF and dont need to walk round in rags anymore, but couldnt find anythig, and it was raining, so you can imagine my mood.

Anyway feeling brighter today ( weather helps!) but still a bit shaky. Ive really enjoyed reading what you have all been up to, the leaking cagoules, the heating on, the crying LOs - I do love you lot!

Hugs to you scuzz- make sure you are thinking straight before any big decisions, we all care xx

 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
    This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast

Hi all! I really want to thank you for all the good wishes for my trip to France which starts in about three hours when we get on the boat - if we make it on time! We've been racing round like the proverbial blue-a**sed flies getting euros, packing just about everything we possess, cleaning the house and so it goes on! We're going in my car and that was only serviced this afternoon just before the chap came to top up the airconditioning! I'm cream-crackered already but hopefully can find a quiet spot on the boat for some sleep! This has been months in the planning so why do we feel as if we only knew we were going yesterday!

Fridge is empty now but freezer is chocca with HM leftovers so I don't think we'll need to do much shopping when we come home. Last bits of food being cooked up for dinner, then I want to have a bath and clean the bathroom and I still haven't finished my packing! I've been doing it in bits and pieces throughout the day!

Anyway, (((hugs))) to all who need them, especially those who feel tearful, have had fights with their banks, are in pain or who have family members in pain, who have coughs and colds, cars playing up, or who just want to feel special. I'd love to mention you all but I'm definitely thinking of you all! I'll miss you all but, who knows, I may bump into PP while I'm there! Have a great time in France PP!
I must admit I thought AMIE would have posted again by now - hope she's OK?
I hope to get my old computer online whilst I'm in France so, with any luck, I be able to keep in touch!

Will try and drop in again before we go!

Love to you all - you're my inspiration, all of you!

    Evening Guys!

DD is driving me nuts and she is going to have selotape wrapped round her gob if she carries on:D ;):p :rotfl: ....I have decided that if she continues to be mouthy and messy, I will get the cleaner to leave her bedroom this week as she still hasnt got on top of it and Ive had enough! She must have put about 15 items into the washroom today and she hasnt even been out:confused: ...she is driving me insane:eek:     ...how do I cope with a messy, gobby...nearly teenager girl:confused: ...my mum would have slapped me by now but dont agree normally with this but she's testing me:D

Everywhere is tidy apart from DD's room:rotfl: OH did an hr or so of weeding earlier and I managed to do abit of ironing (8 items but better than nothing!). Im not feeling so well and Im hoping I will be ok for tomorrow. Fridge etc was cleaned out this morning but I may have already said that earlier.

Anyway, I have to go and get stuff together for tomorrow.

    Hugs to all.

    PP
