    Morning all!

Am feeling a lot better today, but am not going to push myself! Have work this afternoon, so am trying to get a few things done, popping to the bank on the way, have the dw on right now. Also plan to chop the remaining melon for freezing in smoothie packs and hang washing on airers to dry. But first off, I'm going to drink my cuppa and eat the remaining yellow sticker doughnuts that OH picked up from Waitrose yesterday! Breakfast of champions I tell you!! Going to have an apple as well, queen of nutrition today! Haha.

OH and I are so happy that it's Springwatch time again, we love watching all the baby owls in their nests :)

Hope you all have a good day, sending hugs to those who need/want them.

    xx

    Morning all

Woke up to rain this morning but it looks as though it’s clearing up. Must be warmer outside as I have turned the heating off again, we’ve been frozen all weekend. Such a change from last week, we were away in the caravan and it was so hot, we sat out until about 8pm.
Loads of ironing to do today. Must clean up too, this desk looks like a bombs dropped on it, I’ve been making cards all weekend for a MacMillan Coffee Morning next week and there is snipped up bits everywhere. I start off with a clear space and end up working in about 6”square on the cutting board!!
Tea tonight is veggie pasta and salad (leaves radishes and chives from the garden). I will make double pasta and freeze some for next week. The freezer needs tidying up before I do an online shop just to see whats in there to use up first.
The post has just been, it was a letter about a job I applied for 2 weeks ago to say I hadn’t got it, never mind I’ll keep looking.
Sounds like the WM has finished, can’t decide if I should wait to see if it clears up and hang it out or put it in the TD then iron it with the rest?
Right off to make a cuppa and get stuck in

    Hi,

Thanks for the hugs!! I think it may be partly hormonal that I'm feeling so low and partly due to personal probs. I think I also feel like such a failure because I find it hard to cope with working 20 hrs a week and keeping on top of the house work and despite being nearly 30 still feel like I let my parents down with every decision I make. My job is the best one I've ever had and I'm soooo lucky to have such understanding colleagues - I know that giving it up would be silly - especially as its only 20 hours a week, but I get sooo stressed and it makes me ill. I've been signed off work through stress/anxiety for most of this year and I know it really disappoints my parents. I've been I've been to doctors who has prescribed me prozac but I've heard so many horror stories about them that I haven't even taken the prescription to the chemist. I would like to find a substitute but I've tried kalms and they don't touch me. Never mind - chin up and all that. I'm lucky to have 2 beautiful DDs and count my blessings for our physical health as well.

I've taken the car to the garage because it lost all power when I tried to go to visit friends on Sun - gr8 fun stuck on the hard shoulder in torrential rain with DDs who were desperate for toilet!! I'm waiting for a phone call that will tell me how much money they want from me!!

I wanted to spend today as 'quality' time with DDs as I think my parents are going to have them for a couple of days. Without the car to take us to the farm as planned, I think this will involve cooking and cleaning together!! I will bath them str8 after tea and then braid their hair and read a story from the disney princess collection in front of the fire.

Where are stardrops in the supermarket? I can't find them and have never tried them but have read loads about them and would luv 2 get sm.

Lunch - sos casserole and mash
    Dinner - crumpets and chs/jam

    Luv Jxx

    Good Morning All

    moiliere - enjoy your trip
scuzz - well done on the second job, hope they do ask you back. Sorry to hear about your news. Hope the chat with BF goes how you expect it to. You do need to know these things, before making that huge commitment
stef - hope you have better luck next time with camping. Sounds a bit like our camping trip we had last year! Hope DD foot gets better soon.
newster - how about using some vosene or wilko's version of medicated shampoo. My OH has been suffering bad with serisis (sp), but since changing his shampoo, its getting better.
(((hugs))) to jet - hope you feel better soon!

Sorry if I missed everyones news over the weekend.
I finally decided to go to London in the end. ExOH didn't need to know what my plans was or where I was going, and becuase he allready agreed to having them over the bank holiday, he changed his plans at the last minute, which obviously is taking the p!ss. I simply said, see you at 7pm on monday.

It took 3 1/2 hours to drive to London, original plan was the coach, but all coaches leaving that day was fully booked. Train was £110 return  so decided to drive. With help from the sat nav, we did ok. Only mis-judged the sat nav's directions 3 times. Totally got lost in Brixton! Coming back was easier.

Had a lovely day out in Greenwich on Sunday. Place Ive not been to in yrs. It brought back some happy memories. And especially along the route where my cousin's drove. I pointed out places to OH thats where I learnt to drive!
On sunday at 6.30pm, I started to get all panicky, knowing my exOH was threatening to bring kids back then at 7pm, A wiff of my lavender and about 4 fags later, I was ok. then at 7.05pm, my phone went. I felt sick to the stomach, but luckily it was my cousin reporting on how the cats were doing! Phew!!!!

yesterday, I went to woolworths with cousin, she works there, and with a sale on and her 30% discount staff card, I picked up some bargains. Main one was a 2 seater chairs with a table in the middle (tete a tete) should have cost £120, I got it for £36. Plus some Charlie Dimmock garden solar lights, should have been £40, I got them for £14.

Got home last night at 6.20pm, managed to un-pack our bits, see to the animals and get some washing on. Kids arrived back at 6.55pm.
According to what the kids told me, their dad had made plans a while back to go and watch the football match in the pub with a few of his work mates. So in the end, he wasn't going to see his dad after all. Im glad I went away now and stayed to help him out! Even after 3yrs he's still trying to control my life. Not no more!

My babysitter text to say she'd got taken in the hospital and they was keeping her in over night. I spent ages ringing around people if they could help out. No such joy, so Ive had the day off from work.

We got to do the weekly shop later, cant really bothered, but it needs to be done.

Trying to catch up with the washing etc. Inbetween resting my back, its not much fun sleepin on an air bed!

    Catch you later
    Love Emma xxx

jet st john's wort, buy these in capsules & rescue drops (both from holland & barret) or even twink's advise with Lavender to help calm any situation, the lavender certainly helped me over the wk end. See how you go on first, but you may need something a little stronger to begin with. Monitor your everyday routine, and even keep a diary, when you cry, what triggered it,what you doing/thinking when you cried, what positive things you do to help,ie, read/walk etc. By monitoring things, it will also give you an idea on how to cope/avoid things (iyswim)

Mioliere have a great holiday, and don't forget the tissues for the wedding.....

Well we had a good night, OH managed to sit up to watch New Tricks, was in bed and asleep by 10.30 and he more or less slept the whole night, woke at 8.45am...........so a bowl of porridge, he took his tablets and sat in the chair for a while, then decided to go back to bed. I went in and he said he had the pain again, so just lay down.....I have taken him through a cuppa and a couple of biscuits................

I slept ok once I got off, took me a while..............feel ok this morning......nothing much to do except look after the invalid.......I have out the heat on low, its pretty manky here this morning, I was feeling cold never mind OH, but it looks like its clearing up, qquite a strong breeze though.

I might have another go at the kitchen cupboards in a mo, I want to get some stuff out of a floor cupboard so I can empty the dresser, would like to sell it before too much longer, think I feel another trip to the charity shop coming up..........may have to pack some of the stuff in boxes until I can get DD to put the wall unit up for me...........oh dear and I have just got rid of a load of boxes and now I need more:mad:

Well I had better just take a stroll along and see if the house warden is in, he needs to know that OH was in 'clink' for a couple of days...have a good day folks.........................
    Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.

I've just got back from the bank, & wiped the blood off my shoes.
My charges have been refunded, the cheque that bounced was their mistake & has now cleared, the reason my £200 OD facility disappeared was because of the bank loan I have, LOAN? WHAT LOAN. My OD facility will be reinstated as I don't have a loan with them. I'm sorry, but the phrase P*ss up in a brewery comes to mind, how many more mix ups can they make on 1 account, I realise I have a common surname, but really, it's a jike the way they carry on. I then went to the shop next door & got 2 punnets of mushrooms & some spring greens reduced to 50p so I went to the charity shop & treated myself to Being Jordan, Katie Price's autobiography, but I promise not to start reading it till I've finished making Mushroom soup & Chicken, Ham & Mushroom pie & done my ironing.
    Hugs to all

scuzz, sorry to hear about your friend.
stefejb, I hope dd’s foot is ok.
Jet, you sound really down, I hope you feel better soon.
Penny-Pincher, enjoy your trip to France.
elona, I hope you feel better soon.
csarina, I’m glad Oh had a good night, don’t forget to look after yourself too!
Hester, It’s good to hear you had a successful trip to the bank.

A late post from me today as I’ve been busy in the garden planting up my window boxes and hanging baskets. I needed to get it done this morning as we are forecast lots of rain for the afternoon.

I had a lovely day with ds2 yesterday….the sun came out and I managed to talk him out of a fishing trip so we took a picnic to a local open farm and we both had a fabulous time. We went there last summer and he was frightened of many of the larger animals. This time it was totally different, he fed and stroked everything he could, and it was so lovely to see how his confidence has grown.

This afternoon as it looks like I’m going to be housebound so I suppose I really should do a bit of housework. The house has been totally neglected since I’ve started to do stuff in the garden and I’m just doing general maintenance bits but I should really use this afternoon to get stuck in.

Chicken fillets are out of the freezer for tea, I’m thinking some sort of curry or stir fry, but haven’t decided yet. Then I have work this evening. Thankfully it’s very quiet at the moment so I only have five calls and they’re all quite local.

I hope you’re all having a good day.

Hang on a minute Jet - none of thoes things stop a car from working!! They were supposed to find out why you lost power on Sunday - Have they actually checked that, or are they just looking for some easy money??

Get back onto them and check this out.

Also, you could probably get the tyres and wiper blade a LOT cheaper elsewhere!!
