And wake up the following day and decide just before 5pm that the best course of action is to register and post on a moneysaving website about it?
You could be right & it's a pile of poo but there's nowt on the telly
Always try to be at least half the person your dog thinks you are!0 -
Troll, troll, troll. Are people seriously believing this thread?"Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0

I see your point, paradigm, but I'm the opposite- if it was a stranger, there's no real need to tell other than trying to selfishly get rid of your own guilt, but when it's a sister... like someone else said, she can't exactly be trustworthy if she's prepared to do that to family.0
-
Tell the truth. If your sister in law sleeps with her sisters dh then you can guarantee she will open her mouth one day!
How you tell or when you tell is another matter....
For me, the fact you let your wife go home and sort out your children and you buggar off to the pub would have been a problem to me, let alone s......g the sister. And nope I'm not perfect made a similar mistake myself...but you really need to tell the truth as believe me it will come out. I hope to god sister in law is not going to end up pregnant, stranger things have happened.
Good luck0 -
Ok, I'm going to come across as very naive, but how does it come to this?
Sorry but I just can't understand how no matter how drunk you are, you would end up sleeping with someone you are not at all attracted to
Youve never got drunk and done something stupid?
Ive not cheated on my wife, but thanks to nights on the juice have ended up in some questionable situations, with ladies i would never look at twice when sober, when i was single
Ever heard of beer goggles? There are some ladies who would probably never have sex if alcohol was banned0 -
If alcohol makes you get into situations where you may do something you would regret, STOP DRINKING!!!0
-
I dont think you should tell her, you'll risk blowing a whole family apart.
But I seriously think you should leave her alone to find someone who wont treat her the way you did
You cant have it all. If you were 100 per cent happy with your lot alcohol or no alcohol you wouldnt have jumped into the sack with anyone, never mind her sister, alcohol is no excuse.
Spilling the beans would achieve nothing as far as Im concerned apart from trying to ease your conscience.
But I think your wife and your child deserve far better.
Im not sure going out on the sauce 4 weeks after your child was born was the best idea either.0 -

Thinking back to when I had my son, the last thing I would have wanted my OH to tell me was that he'd sh*gged my sister!
By all means tell her one day, but do NOT tell her now! A mother to a newborn does not need this.
It would actually be quite selfish to tell her now.
And as it's her sister, it's going to be horrendous not speaking to both of you, so I would maybe contemplate not telling her at all.
It's YOU and your SIL that will have to live with the guilt, and as you both clearly regret it, perhaps it's just one of those things you just forget and move on.
Oddly, I normally think honesty is the best policy, but in this case, I just don't!
PS - NEVER have more than one drink again!Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -
OP you got it the wrong way round! your only supposed to shag the sister after your have broken up with your mrs.
How likely is that the sister will keep your tryst secret?
It does leave you open to be manipulated for cash or a repeat performance.0
