I came on here this morning and read stuff and then got sidetracked and forgot to post!

Beautiful day here, two loads of washing done and dried and put away.

Made scones, sultana muffins and (for the first time) mocha squares. I've just iced them and I'm hoping to be good and wait until tomorrow to try them because it says they are better the next day.

    *sits on hands*

Not done much else really. Not proper cleaning, just washing up and stuff from baking. We had hot dogs for lunch, haven't had them for ages. Mmmm, onions.
  • Oh you are all so brave - I'm going to have to see doc about increasing my meds - I'm sure my car accidents have something to do with all not being well - had another near miss today, plus paranoia is getting out of hand: the latest was being invited to a very smart (but lovely) friend's daughter's 1st birthday party: i convinced myself I was only invited so she would have someone there to help with the washing up... plus I'm still singularly unable to stick to lil-me's list. Or it could just be that I need a massive kick up the you-know-what....
    Is it home time yet?

I am the queen of paranoia! Everybody hates me.....

It doesn't matter about sticking religiously to the list, what matters is you keep trying and do some of it. Every little really does help.

But the car accidents thing is another matter, if you really think you need to increase your meds because of that then you should see the doctor. Good luck :)

I think the first thing I said in group therapy was "I know everyone hates me"!!

happyathome - you may find that increasing your meds helps, or perhaps changing to a different one. Have you tried CBT, I found that was the most useful thing ever, though I needed the meds at the time in order to be able to function enough to get anything out of therapy. Now I've atleast learnt to recognise my negative self talk for what it is, doesn't stop the thoughts coming into my head, but it does stop them sticking around.

As for lil_me's list, do any of us stick to it religiously ? I certainly don't. Some days I do nothing, other days I do all of it. However atleast doing one thing on the list is one thing more than I was doing before, and it makes the house a little bit better. I gave up comparing myself to other people a long time ago, it made me too competetive, even more of a perfectionist and quick frankly made my already unstable emotional state a lot worse.

It sounds like you need a hug more than you need a kick up the backside. Try listing what you have done, rather than focusing on what you haven't done. Even if it's just spending time with the family, I'm sure they appreciate some time with you more than they appreciate a tidy house!

Evening all not suceeded in doing too much to day, have my can't be bothered head on. Back to so much chaos everywhere that I don't know where to start so I am not starting. I need the list to tell me what to do. Also fretting that I have so much on next week that I will not be able to fly much and it will all get worse.

I think we all suffer from lots of insecurities, I am a real one for thinking somebody is being offish with me, avoiding them and then them thinking I am being funny with them. Life is not easy.

DS2 is in tears. A new boy has joined his footie team who DS2 is worried is better than him and will get his spot on the team. Bless him, he is very small for his age but a great player and really good at motivating the team and carrying on even if they are loosing. He is captain for his cricket club again this week but is beside himself about the football, he wants to quit the team (been with them for 4 years and is only 11 now). To make matters worse the new boy is in the team for the tournament next week but not my lad, I so feel for him.

A glass of wine I think.

I feel exactly the same a lot of the time which is probably why I don't list what I need to do or what I have done. We were never a particularly tidy mob and trying to keep everywhere clean with so much junk around is a difficult task. When my DH died last June any motivation I had totally disappeared. It is literally only these last 2/3 months that I have begun to feel like getting sorted. At times it does all feel overwhelming and this next week I know practically nothing will get done as it will be the first anniversary on Weds. We are having a memorial service which I think is really positive even though I don't feel any better or further on than last year. So my energy is being channelled into that and our kids at the mo. Those friends and family who have been there for us this last year have accepted us as they found us, case of having to!! But no one has criticised us and at the end of the day that is all that matters.

As for this thread and Stormy's thread they have been a real source of comfort, friendship and support. No one ever judges or criticises, there may be the odd kick ;) but only when asked for.

Sorry for the long ramble.... and as for flying ......... :o well........ tomorrow is another day.

Hi AnW'sMum glad you dropped in, I often wonder how you are and did not know it was the anniversary of you loosing your DH this week, take good care of yourself and your little ones, you have come so far.

How is Stormy and the others on her thread? I used to pop in there a lot but it just made me cry and cry everytime I read it so I stopped reading it. One day when I feel able to I will pop over and have a read.

AnW'sMum you know I think you're coping extremely well, will be thinking of you all this week even more so than usual..

As for sticking to the list  I sometimes don't either, but like everyones said before it's something to work towards and much more 'forgiving' now we have the levels.

Dusty give your little DS2 a big hug from me, bless him

For everyone, focus on what you achieve not on what you don't :D I have t because if I tried to focus on what I haven't done I'd have a right headache.

AS for the me time, booked myself in a the hairdressers next Thursday, just a trim but still me time, tonights my 'me' tele time, kids [STRIKE]kicked[/STRIKE]sent to bed, switching between Any Dream Will Do and Grease is the Word, then Casulaty.

Anyone else had/having a good me time ?

ooh me time, I'd forgotten about that. Well I went shopping by myself earlier, does that count ? Though it was to B&Q and ASDA so probably not. I did have a long cuddle with the ratties too which is always enjoyable.

The bathroom is coming along really nicely. The new taps are now fitted, all nice and shiny :) We just have the floor tiles to lay, the bath panel to sort out, a little bit of tiling, resealing the bath and then can put the bathroom cabinet back up and it'll all be done. Looks so much better in there. I'm hoping we can get it finished tomorrow then I can have a long soak in the bath.
