    I think I wanna cry ...

We accepted the offer on our house this morning and rang the people to whom we had made an accepted offer for their house. Only to be told that their estate agent - without talking to us - had put the place back on the market, told him we weren't interested any more, and they sold it to someone else on Monday!!!!

Ever get the feeling that whatever you do you are jinxed in some way?

Waiting to hear now what he is going to do, as he has accepted both offers.

Not sure I can cope with all this ..... and a headache you could put in a box, raging earache and feeling as though my throat is gonna close completely

Sorry for the whinge ... more St John's wort needed ....

Well i feel slightly more chilled. Then again mini-man slept for two and a half hours this morning, and is a lot happier, and the 4th tooth is just poking through the gum, so 2 at once is the main problem.

Had a bit of a giggle at the cat who is only supposed to be eating prescription food chasing Charlie in the baby walker so he could eat some of his toasted tea cake. You have to laugh or you could end up more stressed.

Managed to mark 17 papers, and get a couple of small bits done. 18th of June is when we go away, and in an ideal world i will not be taking any with me. Can't wait.

we are a strange bunch aren't we really (meant in a nice way) how we all gel together. Don't think i would be doing as well without you all, and i might even dig out the aromatherapy oils the midwife gave me a few months ago and start using them again. there was lavender, lemon and something else. anything that helps.

saversarn - sorry about your dog and the huge vet bill

pigpen - may take you up on that once i get the next few weeks out the way, i wouldn't even need the train as i have a car.

lil_me.. my youngest son has just had a hysteria because one of the others told him the sun makes your hair change colour.. we explained it just gets a bit lighter but it didn't work.. he likes his hair as it is and doesn't want it to change... ARGH!!!!... I do wonder what actually goes in in their heads on occasion!

Oh no, literal moment, put it this way my son stayed inside a full summer hols because he didn't want his skin to change colour, hope yours doesn't do the same! The literal view and the objection to change can lead to turmoil in our house aswell.

As for the bruise :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Grass is cut, planters watered, will be lucky if one of the strawberry plants survive out of the ten I bought, never mind. Leaving the 'other side' of the garden until we take the trampoline down later on next week, saves moving it to move it back.

Laundry now, might drag a set of curtains down to wash seeing as it's nice.
One day I might be more organised...........

    Happy Friday everyone!

Well FLYing-wise today's been pretty rubbish. But DH will be in soon and he can take over looking after DS to let me get cracking upstairs. There's a lot of junk lying around as we try to decorate DS bedroom so I'd like to get that all done and dusted (literally!) this weekend.

Sounds like everything has started going a bit Pete Tong this week for many of us. Good thing for us all that it's the weekend and we can start with a nice clean slate next week.

Michelle - :grouphug: Hope you're doing ok now. I really feel for you. I'm in a scarily similar boat at the mo'. Teething, grumping etc We were at the HV last week. No real advice there. We've tried everything they said. I'm trying to stay positive. Luckily when he's on form, he's on really great form. Not long until your holiday at least so you have something to look forward to. Pretty freaky tho as we're away that week too.....

Pigpen - your tales make me :D I think i'm just jealous. At least you knew how you got the bruise!

Pollybear - good luck with the cable box. You don't realise how much rubbish you watch until you don't have it!

    Boston - fingers crossed

    Shirley, saversarn, poohbear - :grouphug:

In fact I think we could all do with a big giant FLY hug this week.

Hopefully we'll all have a great weekend and we'll be refreshed and raring to go on Monday morning. That's the theory anyway......

Quite a productive day so far, got to the bottom of the laundry basket :) doens't happen often, kitchens still full of 'his' stuff so given up on the areas I can't get to, garden looks loads better (will also be easier to clean up after the dogs now I can get to it)

Made a few calls this morning, have managed to find a sports injury specialist for DP and he has an appointment on Monday, sounds promising he's an ex football team physio, the NHS one he was refered to was as much use as a fart in a space suit! Hoping to get him motivated aswell as more mobile, he was more 'helpful' when he was going to the gym etc but since his ankle problem he's turned into a lazy slob again.

Shirley I know what you mean with the coming off meds, I was dreading it but much better than I thought I would be.

Anyway, DS1 just polishing off the last bowl of a big fruit salad I made, got the tea time washing up to do so I best get on with it, ttfn :)

Evening all, just got back from the Lake District so thought I'd pop in to say hi. House is lovely and just how I left it - well if you ignore the dead bird on the kitchen floor! Intend to get to kids bedrooms on sunday and generally get straight as have quite a lot of w**k next week and kids activities/appointments everywhere.

    Hello all,
My first week at flylady and had been congratulating myself for getting to level three most days.

That was until I read Boston's earlier post (good luck with the house BTW) when you said you'd dusted but not the skirtings.

SKIRTINGS! No one mentioned skirtings. What else haven't I done?

On another note when I click the "Thanks" nothing happens - apart from it dissappearing

I think I was a tad over ambitious in my last post as I managed to do not one item on the list but I have outdone myself today by sweeping the front room, hallway and dining room and also mopping said areas. Something I have not done in at least 3years!!!

I have thought about the advice of you guys and I am not going to be getting rid of the cleaner. What I will be doing though is attempting to maintain a clean house on the other 6 days she is not in, instead of just making a mess as normal and taking it for granted that it will get cleaned on wednesday!

Also bought some cleaning products in Somerfield today and am off upstairs to clean the bathroom with a can of guinness in hand :p This is the most cleaning I have done in years and it is all thanks to this thread :)

I am reclaiming my mess and shall deal with it if it is the last thing I do. Oops I guess it means you guys are now stuck with me!
