hello all
i've not been around for weeks! i've missed you all.
life has been manic with starting to plan the wedding (i've got my dress for a bargain, bridesmaids, booked the church and the hotel for the reception, got the stuff for the invites, lots of promises of help etc etc - no wonder i've had no time!)
the problem is my flat is now a mess and its stressing me out! i'm going to give myself an hour now to blast through as much of this week's list as i can. i'll report back later!Mum to gorgeous baby boy born Sept 2010:j0 -
Rach welcome back, gosh it's been ages, pleased to hear you've been getting sorted with the wedding plans.
Hugs to those who are poorly and the poorly pooches. We got a call today about the dog we might be rehoming, her owners haven't come forwardhave explained we're away in just over a week and don't want to unsettle her twice in such a short time. Have been trying to contact the GSD rescues but no luck so far
On a more positive note kids rooms now 'OK' but they do really need a good sorting through! One day I might be more organised...........

[STRIKE]Clear clutter from floor
Wipe down tiles in bathroom
Clean shower screen/curtain if you have one/if required

Declutter Mission Task
PAPERWORK - Oh yes that dreaded drawer/pile, give it 15 minutes of your time today sorting through, making sure anything urgent is dealt with etc
I got all my house work done first thing in the morning and met my Mum in town at lunchtime. Rest of day was spent wandering around town looking for a pair of shoes for tonight, I managed to get a pair then saw the exact same pair in the next shop for £5. less. Oh well I used an Arcadia voucher that I'd got from pigsback so my actual pocket wasn't any lighter! I'm going to a Grease sing a long night and we're all dressing up 50's style so i also wanted some turn over ankle socks but didn't have any luck with them.
Right better get on with todays list or I wont be going anywhere.
Finally Friday - those terrible kids rooms and spare rooms
Level One
Strip beds, vacuum mattress and replace with fresh linen
Level Two
Put anything back in it's place that isn't where it should be
Level Three
Dust, make sure you get the tops of wardrobes/drawers
Vacuum Floor (even if it's just where you can see)
Wipe any sticky marks off walls and doors
Declutter Mission Task
Time for the Friday Flylady Fling, aim for 27, if you can't find that many, well done, you are obviously making a difference
right i'm off to start. hope the rain stays away!Nothing to declare

Morning all,
A little less frazzled today! I did a little Flying and my dailies before I left for work yesterday, it's nice to come home to a tidy house when you're going to be late back. I had a crazy busy day at work and some contractors arrived just as I was thinking about lunch so that went out the window. I did my big monthly shop before I came home, level 2'd the bathroom, ironed, flopped.
I'm off today but it's going to be another busy one I think. I'll have a bit flit round the spare room this morning, then I need to do all my 'girly jobs' ahead of the wedding tomorrow afternoon. Scarecut 50 miles away this afternoon (long story involving my terror of hairdressers), visit a couple of people while I'm there and if there's time look for something to wear tomorrow. Talk about last minute.. I can see me banging on shop doors first thing in the morning and panic buying.
Have a lovely day and get well soon to those with the lurgey.

Morning all,
I love the new look site. Very tidy!
Another nosebleed for poor Owen this morning, so he's not too happy. I have the feeling that he'd love to come to you Boston, he's getting very bored of these four walls, although his baby sister has proved a welcome distraction. He shakes her hand and strokes her head, at least it's another face for him to look at, he gets rapidly tired of mine.
I received a very distressing phone call from my ex (Owen's dad) last night . He's an alcoholic and he was obviously drunk and looking for a fight. I was in the middle of feeding Freya and DH had already gone to bed (he had to be at work at 4.30am), so I felt ever so vulnerable when he called and started his usual "It's everybody's fault but mine" tirade. He was upset because Owen has chicken pox and can't go to his cousin's christening this weekend - I haven't yet worked out how exactly this is my fault. I finally came clean after three and a half years of being polite that he's not welcome at my house because he's an awful role model and I don't like his behaviour. (This is the one who stole money from his dad's football fund while his dad was in hospital after having a stroke. He also stole the money from his nephew's (1 yr old) and Owen's money boxes that his mum was saving for the boys to take on their holidays. He hasn't paid maintenance in 2 years and last week he launched into an hour-long hysterical screaming fit at his heavily pregnant sister - it must be the time of year for attacking vulnerable women.) By the end of it all I was shaking like a leaf, but I kept my voice calm and didn't let it descend into anything childish on my end, so I feel quite proud of myself really.
Wow, sorry about that, just had to let go of some baggage! Call it a 27 fling boogie for the soul :rotfl: .
Will call in again later to set up a list and respond to posts. Have a good day, sorry again for the rant. Mara x0 -
Good for you, Mara and no need to apologise to us on here. I hope he got the message. You should feel proud of yourself for staying grown up about it.

Right, baby's down and Owen's fed, so it's time to post a proper lit, instead of just ranting like a crazy woman
!
Good luck at the hairdresser solway, just try to think of it as decluttering your head.
newmrslockwood, I went to a performance of Grease a couple of months ago and it was fabulous - it's amazing how many of those songs you don't realise that you know! Have a really good time.
Well done rach on all of the organisation. Planning my wedding was fun, but scary too. It's good new that you've sorted your dress already, they're just so darn expensive. I got mine on ebay for £100 including postage!
Good luck with the new dog lil_me, fingers crossed it all goes to plan.
Savesarn and polly, I hope the spaniel's feel better soon, poor pups.
Welcome back tinsel, glad you had a good time and hope it's not too much of a shock to the system to be back in the country.
Right, I need to do Owen's room really as he has bled all over the duvet again, so the bed needs stripping.
Owen's room
Change bedding
Vacuum floor
Dust everywhere and check for cobwebs
Get rid of unused toys
Dailies
Vacuum throughout
Put washing on
S and S bathroom
S and S sitting room
S and S kitchen
Ok, that'll do for now. Take care and enjoy your flying today and every day.
