Hello, back from my 100 mile round trip for a haircut. Not v OS but I did see some of the people I wanted to see.
Boston, that's an awful situation, I hope it comes right. Fingers still crossed for you and for Pollybear too.
Pigpen, drink related injuries and overstaying 3 hour shoes..wince, glad you had a fab time! Enjoy the wedding.
Michelle, glad you're feeling a bit more up beat.

It does seem to have been a lousy week for some, I'm blaming planetary alignment or spring fever or something. I was meant to see my oldest friend today but she asked me not to come round as she's in the process of splitting up with her OH and he doesn't know she's moving out yet. Gawd, someone else for me to worry about. Makes me glad to be single (except that's not what I said last week) Pollybear, I live in a cottage all by myself, it keeps me sane. Ahem.
I didn't get a wedding outfit yet either so if anyone sees a crazed woman rushing round the Metro centre in the morning stop me and say hi.

Just a brief tidy up, crisps and pop for tea 'cos I'm a grown up and 'cos I can.
    England game anyone??

Arrgghhh!!!! I have so much to do!! Why is someone elses wedding more stressful than mine was??? ... could that be the extra 7 children???

I am in the middle of bridesmaid dress ironing.. groan!!!!... All the shirts are done.. I have one petticoat to sew a button on and all the shoes and guff to get to MIL's uncrumpled tonight.. I may resort to flinging it in a taxi and letting them pay for it when the things arrive!! Actually that's a good idea!

I have everyone showered apart from us adults and DS1 and we will sort in the morning.

My nails are done so I look glam.. hahaha.. I have the 2 tiddlers nails to paint in the morning.
Need to buy the correct foundation seeing as I picked up the wrong one in boots.. so annoying.. they will change it for me though so not too bad but means another trip out.. may send hubby first thing!
    iron evening stuff.
get ironing board back to my mothers tonight
Sort a bag of 'spares' for tomorrow

    Anything else???

    Oh.. find camera charger!!!

Pigpen that does sound like a good idea, can imagine it's chaos in your house.

Solwaykid you're braver than me, Metro Centre on a Saturday  thought of it makes me cringe! Saying that usually quieter on weekends when it's school hols.

Right, got a mountain of laundry to fold and hang then put away, then living room to vacuum and mop, so best get it sorted!
One day I might be more organised...........

That's what I'm hoping.. 9 am sharp and out by 10!
Dishes and laundry folding to be done here too. Camera manual to read, handbag kit to get ready, overnight bag to sort, fake tan legs in case I get a dress. See, some forward planning is happening, I'm not always last minute Nelly! And ankle sock marks and bra strap marks..

    Best scoot.
Have a lovely weekend all. Go misbehave, it's good for the soul ;)

I am sooooo glad it's friday. Well I would be if it wasn't for needing to spend the weekend doing DIY. This past week at work has been chaos, had another new addition to the team start and while this is good because it's taking some of the workload off the rest of us, it means that I'm constantly having to find work that needs doing and helping out etc. I don't think I've had a chance to actually sit still for 5 minutes. However my desk is still tidy :)

Haven't really done much flying this week, am going to go down and grab the duster in a minute and atleast do that bit. I can't get to the hoover as it's under all the stuff out of the bathroom.

    List for the weekend

    Lounge, hall and stairs
    sweep floor
    Master Bedroom & Landing
[STRIKE]Dust surfaces & make sure no cobwebs
    Clean window & wipe windowsill
    Wipe doors and handles[/STRIKE]
    Bathroom and Study/Pc Area
Clean floors in these rooms(even if it is around clutter) - sweep downstairs.
Clean toilet and sink - downstairs only.
Wipe down tiles in bathroom - downstairs only
    Declutter Mission Task
PAPERWORK - Oh yes that dreaded drawer/pile, give it 15 minutes of your time today sorting through, making sure anything urgent is dealt with etc

    Plus
    Do the bank account shuffle
[STRIKE]Return paint to B&Q and [/STRIKE][STRIKE]Homebase [/STRIKE](best not to ask)
Touch up the walls in bathroom
[STRIKE]Get new toilet seat and fit - B&Q have one the right colour[/STRIKE]
Sort out tiles at the end of the bath
Look for suitable towel rail and toilet roll holder
    Clean bathroom cabinet
    Clean tile grouting
    [STRIKE]Get new flooring for bathroom[/STRIKE]
    Get new fan and fit
    [STRIKE]Fit new taps[/STRIKE]

Result - managed to get Charlie to sleep without the paddy, although it did take me an hour to sneak out of his room  and then creep downstairs trying to walk down the edges so they didn't creak :rotfl: The things you have to do with kids.

I was sat at the side of his cot at first, and he had his arm through the bar poking me in the ear, and then pulling my hair, so i moved away after that. Hope he soon gets the message as i don't fancy that every night, but he will not win.

Anyway, not that much done, but DH brought me wine and choccies as a Friday treat. (best forget about the bridesmaid dress tonight and then worry about it over the next fortnight.

see, i said i hadn't done that much. Well there is plenty for DH to help me with, particularly as we want to nip to his friends house warming do tomorrow afternoon.

I'd best walk the 20 miles there to make up for the calories tonight.

Enjoy your weekends folks. Good luck at the metrocente solway, and enjoy the wedding to you and pigpen. It looks like it might be nice weather as well. Good as we all need a vitamin D boost.

Pigpen I am sure you will manage the pee, but maybe doing something while you are there

Actually I did something similar tonight, was going in the bath and noticed more socks needed pairing, so did them while sat in the bath, extra soak time without the guilt, don't know about anyone else but I just find it hard to switch off.

Well most of sitting room now vacuumed and mopped, have even moved the sofas out and done under them, waiting for that to dry so I can do the last little bits
One day I might be more organised...........
