Thank you so much everyone - and Anw'sMum - my heart and prayers go out to you. I know I should be grateful for what I have, and I truly am - it just seems that 'everything else' gets in the way of being able to appreciate it all. I think I'll have a look for a book on CBT - it makes such sense, but therapy hasn't worked for me: I'm too much of a people-pleaser, and after two sessions I try and make the therapist believe that they have cured me: I almost believe it myself! Plus - trying to keep any appointment with 2 pre-school monsters in tow is nigh-on impossible, never mind a regular event.
Anyway - Lil-me thanks for the reminder about me-time. If DH manages to come home tomorrow before bed-time i will go out for a brisk walk with the dog.Is it home time yet?0 -
Dusty, lil_me, happyathome thanks for your good wishes, Stormy and the rest of the gang are doing ok. Lots of twists and turns on our individual journeys but knowing there are friends there to help guide each other is great. Makes the potholes not seem quite so deep if that makes sense.
Think my me time will be watching HIGNFYOfficial Mascot and Chief Cheerleader for the 'Mortgage Free in Three' Gang0 -

I have the "Manage Your Mind" book which I find really useful, it covers quite a few things and has some good exercises in there as well.
There's also a free online CBT course run by the Glasgow NHS here which is pretty good at covering the basics.

Evening folks.
My me time was 6 hours at Dh's friends BBQ. It was good to catch up with everyone and meet some new people and their new rescue cat.
Now having a glass of wine after a lovely bath to remove the smokiness, and should do a bit more marking, but i just had to catch up here first.
Also just 'bumped' into yet another friend on another website i have become addicted to (facebook).
Cat food problem was not fully solved but we got some senior cat food as it is lower in protein and that should be suitable till we can get some more delivered next week.
Big hugs to all of you, AnWs mum particularly cos you are a brave lady, and to me you have come a long way since joining us, so i can only imagine what this year has been like as a whole.
I'll catch up properly tomorrow when i may have a bit more time to do the list, if i don't get woken at 6 again.

Last post from me before I go and organise his stuff for tomorrow, sandwiches, drinks, clothes etc, saves getting woken up before he goes as I think he'll be up much earlier than us. Have to find him some sun cream aswell as he got sizzled on his baldy patch today :rotfl: awwww, wonder if anyone needs a beacon. Saying that forecast to rain all day so he might be 'soggy' as it's an out door one.
Then it's off to bed for me, probably write the holiday list then as didn't get it done today aswell as my list of jobs I need to get done inc emptying the car out (not my mess but needs doing) then if I get the boot emptied which is full of motorcross stuff then me and the boys can take the dogs to somewhere different.
Goodnight all, may see some of you in the morningOne day I might be more organised...........

Morning all - just lost my post and too tired to re-do.
Having my morning cuppa with DS while DH has his lie in. Not a lot done yesterday but we did have friends + kids over and place is looking respectable so that's a big acheivement. It was lovely to see them all tho.
My me time was a very lovely lunch with my friend yesterday and it was smashing. DS stayed home with his dad so I didn't have to juggle. Bliss....
Am in awe of AnW's Mum. Obv I had no idea of your circumstances. On here we're all just FLYing together. But so many of you are coping with so much. Well done to you all for keeping it together AND wanting to FLY. Makes me feel humbled and more than a bit bad for any moaning I've done.
Positive thoughts and hugs and a big :T

Morning everyone.
I've only posted once since returning from hols this week but have been dipping in and out and keeping up with the messages.
We're all on here to get a bit of organisation at home and so make life at little easier, but this thread provides so much more than that.
Just wanted to say that it's great being around so many caring and thoughtful people who always have words and time for others.
:grouphug: oodles of hugs to everyone....it is not of more importance than daily life, which I have an enduring wish to make as useful and beautiful as possible.

Morning everyone.
Have woke up with a terrible headache that appeared before bed last night, and hasn't gone with sleep. Felt migrainey last night and sleep hasn't cleared it, so i will have to see how i go today. Probably from being outside all day yesterday battling with the hayfever.
Charlie slept till 7am :j and seems really cheerful so far today. He had a little ulcer on his gum, which he popped when he was chewing a rough strap on the camera case yesterday, and his change in mood was almost instant.
Anyway, going to do my list and then get off the computer to avoid the headache getting worse. Another cuppa, and then marking i think while DH is watching baby.
