Well step-son arrived dinnertime so was able to catch up on other odd jobs
Have swished and swiped the house again just to keep things ticking over.
Up early tomorrow and out all day till late so won't be posting.

I sympathise with all those on tablets and/or suffering from stress/depression as I've been there done that and still going  It started with birth of DD and really kicked in after birth of DS. I took myself off the tablets after about 18 months as I couldn't tell if it was me getting better or the tablets :rotfl: Counselling and family support really helped. I'm much stronger now although I still have problems sometimes espec in new situations.

So I think we all need to have a hug :grouphug: a deep breathe and chocolates :EasterBun: lots of chocolates :rotfl: :rotfl:

1st rookie error of the day. Went to feed the cats, only to realise that the prescription food i had bought them in big tins cos it was cheaper was actually dog food.

I've only blinking gone and ordered another 36 tins of the stuff, which will probably have already been despatched so need returning at our expense, and also, now we have no other cat food they can eat, so

    this morning i have:
    • sent a nice email to cutomer services trying to stop the order, or if not, letting them know we will be returning it as it can take up to 30 days to refund your money
    • ordered more of the CAT food
    • despaired about what to do with the 11 other tins of dog food that we won't be able to return as the packaging is damaged now.
and will have to try to ring round other local vets to see if they have any food in stock, as we will be having huge difficulties if not. The cats are already moaning and it isn't like i can buy prescription food at the ASDA.

No wonder i feel blinking down! Please feel free to laugh at my expense, as DH thinks it is quite funny. I think he should take my credit card off me, and not leave all the stuff like this down to me, and then we wouldn't have such stupid mistakes.

Welcome to another day in my mad world. Thankfully DH is now up, and making me more tea.

Off to get dressed and start trying to play catch up. At least i haven't got to trail round the shops this morning. Don't envy solway or pigpens hubbie grabbing last minute bits this morning.

    Morning all,
Just savouring a cuppa and reading posts for inspiration today ( sorry to all those that have been up since 04.30 with babies- I have been there and remember!)
I joined grocery challenge so am planning my shopping and doing that today, also started diet today (lose weight for holiday attempt number 374).
Then some heavy duty flying and maybe a potter in the garden.
All those with an altogether more glamarous day planned.. enjoy your special days.
I guess the rest of us just need to smile and get it done!!!!
    xx

I'm the same shirleypark, for a while my fluoxetine was the only thing that kept me going. Luckily for me though, I came out of the other side of it. In the end, I kept forgetting to take the stuff - my counsellor thought that I kept forgetting because my depression wasn't the most important thing in my life anymore - a very nice way to come off it. How are things going at the moment? Any improvement on the home front? Slap me if I'm being too nosey, just worried abut you.

michelle, on that note, it was having my Owen that led me to being on anti-depressants in the first place. I ended up with PND and went quietly bonkers. I could hear him crying even when he was asleep, but didn't tell anyone how unhappy I was because I had an irrational fear that they would take him away from me (it turns out that this fear is actually another symptom of PND - I didn't like anyone else to touch him or hold him either). If you get too stressed, I'll PM you my number if you like and we can have a good moan together. Good luck with the cat food too!

Hooray for pigpen and her drunken antics, I really must get out for an evening as soon as I've stopped breastfeeding, you've reminded me how much fun it is to get out and about with the girls. Have a great time today.

I'm sorry boston, you're really not having a good time with all of this housing business - maybe karma's just ensuring that you get the perfect house for you though. These other houses may have hidden dangers?

Welcome back dusty, I hope you had a good time. The lake district is absolutely beautiful.

It's good to know that new people are still coming and finding help from this thread woodyrocks. I'm exactly the same, I'm lost without my lists and I know that my house would still be a sty if I didn't come here and check in!

    How's the hair looking solway?

Right, Owen seems a little more cheerful today, but he's still crawling with blisters, some have now crusted over, but they look absolutely agonising. My darling son however is totally unconcerned and keeps telling me off for asking him if he's ok and looking at his pox!

Freya's presently having a snooze on her daddy's chest while they're listening to Slayer in the bedroom. Not exactly my idea of relaxing, but she seems happy and DH is stuck there while I get cups of tea as she has her hands wrapped in his chest hair - every time he moves, he whimpers! I shouldn't laugh, but I can't help it. :rotfl:

We'll be off into town today, I promised to get my mum some of my favourite microfibre cloths from poundland - could I actually convince her to FLY? Good lord, I hope so, I can never find anything in her house and she's been lamenting the state of it for about 10 years.

Happy days to everyone, good weddings, healthier pets and do something nice for yourselves!

There is a book token in there which will (usually) scan at Tesco for £4 and the paper cost a lot less so usually about £3.50 profit - not sure if Saturday paper is same price as weekday. Before leaping in look at todays newspaper thread and the various tesco threads etc for more info.

Just going to pop down to corner shop to get a few in case they have sold out in smiths before I get there!

Here is the paper thread for today - it is 70p on Saturday so £3.30 profit

Morning all, hope everyone is well.

Michelle good luck finding the food, RSPCA/PDSA vets are usually open on a Saturday, saying that I think our localest vet4pets branch is aswell.

Oh I remember the chest hair tangling oooo's :rotfl: suggesting they get it waxed usually stops the moaning.

Our Tesco don't take the extra vouchers unless you buy the item so no point me getting the Daily Mail for those, shame as a lot of people seem to save a lot with vouchers.

Right, just working on a to do list, hoping DP will eventually shift his stuff out of the kitchen today so I can actually move in there. He neeed to pack the car up today as he's out from 7am tomorrow (must be mad as he won't be in from work until 4am) Kids are out in the garden but if anything like yesterday they'll be in and out like fiddlers elbows.

First thing I need is a coffee, see if I can wake myself up a bit, damn me for buying half caff stuff when it was on offer as it's taking 2 cups to get me moving :rotfl: definately not cost effective!
One day I might be more organised...........

Part of the Furniture 10,000 Posts Combo Breaker I've been Money Tipped!
Hi, Flybabes! Pigpen, have a great day! I've been quite busy the last few days, but the weather has been so much better than forecast, so I've been taking advantage of time in the garden. My sister is here and her children are playing with my DS on the trampoline and swing. DD is back this afternoon after a week away. It's the longest we've been apart for nearly 15 years, and I can't wait to see her again.

    My list:

    Ironing – done
    Shoes – cleaned by DS
Shoe basket – sorted and cleaned
    Living room – dusted, hoovered
Baking – done (choc yogurt cake, lemon drizzle cake, jam tarts, 2 quiche cases)
    Porch – swept by DS
Hall and landing - hoovered by DS
    Kitchen floor – swept
Bathroom – bath and sink cleaned, chest polished, floor cleaned, pictures and mirror polished
Upstairs loo – loo and sink cleaned, mirror polished, floor cleaned
    Fresh pasta – made
    Tesco deals – ordered
    E-bay account set up

The house still looks *lived in* (how I like it) but it's clean and tidy, so thanks guys. Piece of Choc Yog cake all round7_4_15.gif.

    Enjoy your weekend, Penny. x
