Hello all  rain seems to have stopped here for now, but it's still not a very nice day.
We had a lovely afternoon/evening with my sister's doggies, they were very well behaved & had a huge walk. Sis & BiL were back from the "do" by 10.30 as it wasn't all that exciting by all accounts!
I've been meaning to put shelves in our bathroom cupboard for ages & TODAY I DID IT!! :j It's a huge cupboard above the stairs (think understairs cupboard in reverse) and I really wasn't making best use of the space. It now has 3 shelves in for all our lotions & potions and a kitchen veg trolley full of towels. Very pleased with myself!
Coq au vin for dinner (on account of it being winter again), so best trot off & put the chicken pieces in the red wine, and peel the shallots - my most hated job.

    Enjoy the rest of Sunday

    Afternoon all.
Amie it is a 12a, but that means if they are 12 they can go alone just 11 and under must have a adult with them, ds1 has been today he is 11, 12 in oct, got in no problem and really enjoyed it, yes it is just under 3 hours long.

Been so busy and am really pleased with myself, only 1 off the 4 kids here others out with friends, ds2 who is still here is loving having the tv and ps2 all to hiself, i have completly blizzed 2 of the kids rooms, thrown all broken toys away, sorted out the colouring pens and been throught the books.
Now have a pile to give to school and some for dd friend when they bring her back.
Dh has fitted electric into one of the outdoor sheds and put my deep freeze in there, and is currently trying to put up some lovely led outdoor flower lights.

    Have a good afternoon all

csarina - ((hugs)) Hope they get to the root of dh's health scare and get it all sorted with a speedy recovery. Shame about the pan, but oh thank goodness your home was safe!

MrsMW - rest those wristies!! Hope you'll find some relief soon.

catznine - sorry to read about your friend ((hugs))

    Ladygrim - Well done :T :T It's a great feeling isn't it :D:D:D

Amie - Well done on your forerib :D :T

Well I'm feeling very smug and also very excited :j :j :o
Smug because ... successfully manage to buy ds's birthday gift while they were both out shopping with me and he is soooooo none the wiser ;) :T Also, while performing my interpretation of "Mission Impossible" ... bought and utilised the black bin bags to hide it in and earned myself Green Points toboot  Have I mentioned I had a double points coupon that I used up as well?
Excited because ... I have found a car that I would really, really, ok, *reeeeeeally* like  It's a toss up between two actually, but one I love more than the other. Trouble is, the one I have fallen in love with is a tad over budget
Now, obviously I'm going to haggle and I'm even hoping to pay for most of it with my Tesco Visa (so club points too :j ) but .... it would take another 5mths to make up the difference. I do *have* the difference in my Freedom Account, but that's earmarked for annual bills/expenses/surprise bills ... hence why I guestimate 5mths to make up the shortfall. Buuuuuut  ... it's looks like such a good deal and it really did *call* to me :o Oh decisions, decisions! :naughty: Now, I really do not like spending money at the best of times and I have always been loathe to spend money on myself (even though this is a family car) and there's a very strong possibility that I'll sleep on it and end up talking myself out of it. But then, it would be far more reliable than my current one and it would take us where we need to get to and being deisel it would be cheaper to run in some ways and .. I've been saving for this for so long ... and .. and .. oh blow pobs! I just don't know what to do
    I'll sleep on it :o
    I'll shut up now

    Hi everyone,

Like Racy I've been keeping up with the thread but I banned myself from posting until I'd finished my course assignments (ok they are not quite done but I'm confident that they'll be finished by the deadline which this time last week I wasn't at all sure of.

It must be welll over a month since I posted in which time DH and I had a driving tour of Spain going from Madrid to Toledo, Sevliie, Granada and several other places. Had a great time and saw some amazing sights.

DS has now finished his degree course, he had his last exam on Thursday and is anxiously awaiting his results. He had a few hiccups this year and he's worried he won't get as good a degree as he wants but I've told him that I'm proud of him whatever he achieves, none of his friends from school went to Uni except his girlfriend so I think he's done really well.

DH went to Athens for the Champions League Final, thankfully he wasn't caught up in any trouble and had a valid ticket (he wouldn't have gone without).

I start my new post on Friday, funny day but it's the first of June so that's why.

In the meantime the house has become a bomb site so if I finish my assignments today I'll start to fly round cleaning and washing. The only thing I've been keeping up is home cooking but that's really only because it's been mainly salad with grilled meat or fish!

    Better get on.

    Sue
