    MOrning all.

Oh Cazzie - hugs to you. Glad OH pampered you though. I would milk the kids contrition for all it's worth. Get them to do more work today and you play the martyr. Poss. let them see their actions affect people and sometimes you've got to smile even though you don't feel like it. I suppose it is a positive sign that they realised what they'd done. Hugs again.

Lazy day for me too yesterday. Kids were at their grandparents and I decided I was doing no housework. (apart from making banana bread, but I didn't want to bin the bananas and they were on their last legs, also I got to use my shiny new kitchen aid! so that didn't count. Lovely)

Also went to see the new Pirates of the Caribbean - loved it. Silly, but good.

Need to go to supermarket today, and get to homebase to buy some floor tiles cos it's 10% weekend.

Right - off to marshall children into clothes.

    take care.

    Good morning all,

looking out the window at the rain just now  Still determined to go to the car boot sale with twink though - we don't let a little rain put us off!

Had a lovely day yesterday, and we have enough mini muffins to last us for a while :p Made a few flavours - cherry, hazlenut, lemon, orange and dolly mixture :rotfl: Got a lot of different ideas from my mum to try out next time too - gonna make some cakes!

Have a good day all - *hugs* to all, take or leave as you please :D

    Morning :D

Well didn't I sleep in!!!! woke up at 7.55am and made DH a cup of tea.

We are due to go out today :( We joined National Trust last year and we are going to one of the properties ..... I just want to stay in when it is raining .... curl up and watch a good DVD (which actually translates to everyone else curled up watching a dvd whilst I iron and watch the dvd) , kids are the same but hubby gets cabin fever and feels that we have 'wasted' a weekend if we stay in  , so out we go!!!

Was going to do a car boot but decided against it on Friday due to weather.

Anyway have a lovely day all of you that manage to stay in and keep dry *jealous smilie*

    Hugs

    Hi Every1,

Have read through but can't concentrate coz kids are bouncing of the walls and have far too much energy. I'm going up to Leeds today to see my friend and her new baby. Its pouring with rain and Benson attacks the windscreen wipers with a vengence so it could be fun!! I came down to another bout of Bensons diaorea (sp?) this morning - thats 3 mornings in a row n its not nice at all. He's skin and bones and this diaorea obviously has something to do with it. He must have been badly beaten for soiling in the house by his last owner because he hides and shakes and cowers after he's done it. Poor baby - he's so good and such a softie it really upsets me that he was mistreated and I just want to make him better.

I will log on later and read through to see if I can get a bit of inspiration. The WM and TD are on - I haven't washed up/sorted out any of the clean clothes/ironed or anything but hey-ho it's half term n I don't have to rush!! Not much OS wise going on today. I'm going to have a NSday I think coz petrols in car and am going to friends mums for sunday lunch.

I'm sick of my kids starting to play these silly games where they play fight and laugh hysterically and then within 2 minutes they come crying saying so and so just hurt me. I DON'T CARE!!!! I've told them a thousand bl**dy times that if they play these rough games sm1 will get hurt.

Hope every1 has a good day in this lovely British weather!! (((HUGS))) to every1 who wants/needs them.

    Luv Jxxx

    I've been Money Tipped!
    :hello: Good Morning!

    Well done Cazziebo! :T

Emmy - you seem to be doing so well so soon after the implants! So pleased for you. I have my scan and x-rays on Tuesday and have to be in London for 9.05am appointment! but it does mean, if I have the energy, I can visit my friend in hospital as she is just around the corner. I saw her last night and she has been really ill but they didn't tell me while I was away on hols (feel so guilty  ) Anyway I should know soon if implants are an option for me.

Kathy - have a lovely time!

Overcast here so it's going to be an ironing day while I catch up on some missed tv progs including that whistleblower prog you all keep talking about! Glad I still do my best to avoid the supermarkets! Thanks to Cooltrikerchick!

Breakfast - another pack of american oatmeal (not keen as so sweet but hate to waste it)
Lunch - leftover curry and rice
    Dinner - chicken casserole

Have a lovely day especially all folk going to car boot sales!

    Morning everyone xxxxx

Dull day here in Berkshire. Just time for a quick one as we're leaving in a mo to go to Bedfordshire to see DSS2, his lovely exGF and the DGDs. She really is amazing. Although he's been a complete pig to her, she's still taken the girls from Essex to Bedfordshire for the weekend so they can see their dad (and us).

Moliere It'll be fine. You're much more organised than you give yourself credit for. Will we get to hear from you while you're away? If not, I'll really miss your posts.

Cazziebo Grrrr. Your HDs are typically selfish teenagers. I agree that they need to see the effect of their actions. You need to be quite expilicit, as people (especially those who are feeling sheepish about their previous actions) often try to post rationalise that its not their fault. A good way to tackle it is to use the formula "I feel (insert your feeling) about (be precise, not generalise) because (explain why)". The last bit is the most important, as you'd be surprised at how often people misunderstand exactly why you got upset. In your case it might be something like: I feel let down about you being so miserable yesterday because this was my special day, I'd worked really hard for it, and I had been looking forward to a pleasant family day out.
    Hope that makes sense?

AussieLass Hope DH feels better soon. Has he taken some migraine tablets? I know that in NZ you can't get special migraine tablets, not sure whether you can in Australia? Just in case you don't know what I'm talking about, you want something like MIGRALEVE. You take two pink tablets as soon as possible, these contain both a painkiller and something for the migraine side effects. If it isn't gone within four hours, you then take two yellow tablets which contain just a painkiller. The tablets are quite expensive, so you might want to just buy a pack of pink ones from the Chemist, and ask them if they have any generic tablets which have the same ingredient as the yellow ones. I know they exist because my pharmacist told me what they were. Fortunately for me, I usually only need the pink.

<Aime>Everyone is entitled to a day off.

Have a great time carbooting Twink & Kyle. Queenie, well done on clearing your paper mountain.

    Hugs to everyone else xxxxxx

    Good Morning all

It's pouring here in Edinburgh too but hey ho - I got loads done yesterday (especially in the garden) so today will be more chilled out.

Re: Women feeling guilty about being lazy - I think it's in our genetic make up because I'm exactly the same. Amie - I'm glad you had a relaxing day it sounds as if you deserve it.

I'm off to church for the 9.30 am service then out to friends for lunch. They asked me to bring my pear and almond tart for dessert so it's in the oven ready to go.

    Have a lovely Sunday all.
