Hi had a parking eye fine put on car a month ago with a further letter coming last week. I appealed straight away before researching and have ignored since but now im reading not to ignore? Was taking a faulty item back to store that needed taking back fully setup obviously the front spaces were the only options as it would be impossible to lift over cars etc. Was there ten minutes and bam! Done. Any advice appreciated.

Was this England or Wales ? If so did they give you a popla verification code? If so have you appealed to them? ThanksWhen posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.
We don't need the following to help you.
Name, Address, PCN Number, Exact Date Of Incident, Date On Invoice, Reg Number, Vehicle Picture, The Time You Entered & Left Car Park, Or The Amount of Time You Overstayed.

England mate. No just had first letter so far no popla code.0

Whilst you can probably ignore the ticket, you should be ashamed for taking a space reserved for someone with a disability.0

I agree - it would have been fine to take up a 'gimmick' parent and child bay though as they mean diddly squat and are there for reasons to do with marketing.
However the OP needs to know that he's not going to magically get a POPLA code without appealing first! And he/she should challenge this fake PCN because that's our standard advice and it works (even when a person has parked badly or unsociably).
To tjt65 I suggest the same advice as on any thread here posted today, yesterday and tomorrow, like this one and loads of others you'll see here:
http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/....php?t=4633199
Do the challenge as advised (not giving away ANY details, not saying 'I was driving and I did this/that'). And then when you get a rejection letter and a POPLA code or form, just don't go it alone with wording a POPLA appeal.
That stage is important and not a normal 'appeal' situation if you want to win. Read some other 'private parking scam' threads on here, pick a thread any thread... it's like Groundhog Day on this forum but at least we stop people being scammed!:)PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Was only parking there as literally had no other option was no way I could lift the machinery over other cars without damaging. Was only quick in and out. Thanks for the helpful replies as I said I did appeal straight away.0

Well you could email them back and ask them for the popla code as I gather they rejected your challengeWhen posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.

There reply asked for my name and address to process the appeal but I didnt reply. Since then iv had the first letter with the photos attached and telling me if I pay within 28 days its 50 pounds instead of 85.0

What a bargain!
Instead, follow advice with standard appeal letter as suggested. It will be rejected, of course, but it cuts out their delaying tactics and gets you the POPLA code.
I would make one small change to the bog standard appeal letter, though.
I would ask for the photographic evidence as you dispute their claim. It will help when doing the POPLA appeal.0 -
Did the store know that you were taking the faulty item back? If you had called up in advance & they knew that you were coming & that you would need to park right in front of the store then they gave their implicit permission for you to park where you did.0

My letter already has two photos on it. Does it matter that I didnt reply when they emailed back to my appeal asking for name and address? Do I send another saying im yet to have a reply and preyend I replied? Its not too late yet is it? Nigelbb yes the store did know and I have tried numerous times to contact them and ask for help but they dont want to know say I have to take it up with the parking company. Thanks again for replies with this.0
