OH has just texted me to say that I have to eat smoked salmon tonight as it's about to go out of date and it was too expensive to bin... but blegh, I really don't feel like eating anything fishy today! :o

:money:Martin would be proud :rotfl: who cares if your feeling sick, you must not waste it!

To be honest most people do know about our angel twin :) but theres just some people around here who you dont want knowing all of your business! OH and I talk about he/she but mainly I think because he wants me to know he hasn't forgotten and to make sure i'm ok.
He asked me the other day if I thought it would have been another girl or a boy, all we know is that they were in seperate sacs.

Oh and if people want to touch my belly once it stops looking like flab and more like bump I'll be slapping theirs right back! Or maybe grabbing a boob or bum cheek... :p

Hope your Mum is okay, Dinah? :grouphug:

That's awful about what your boss said, Flower :( Miscarriages and infant loss is just this whole unspoken of world until you go through it. So on one hand it's no wonder that some people don't know how to properly respond to it, but on the other hand; What a dickbutt

Birdie, have you looked at the beach cover up maxi dresses in Primark? I got 2 for my holiday last year, they're super stretchy and easy to dress up or just slob in. Plan on them being part of my pregnant wardrobe whenever my uterus gets itself into gear!

I had a look in Primark on Saturday but my local isn't that big and I didn't see any dresses I liked. There were just loads of those long t-shirt type dresses that are straight up and down with no shape, with my hips and bum that is soooo not a good look! :p

I've realised that I'm going to have to buy some more comfortable work clothes now though and bigger tights- been feeling a little like a stuffed turkey all week! :p Haven't got enough money for all these new clothes! :o

Bless your OH for being so sweet Flower. :) I think it's easy to forget that losses hit the menfolk just as much as the women so it's nice to know you're comforting each other. :)

We're getting our posh new blinds fitted today, they'd better be worth the money! Looking forward to sleeping in a properly dark room tonight! :)

Exciting Birdie! Hope the blinds look great :)

Our kitchen work is progressing, we tiled last week and grouted on the weekend. Last night the electrician came to put the new sockets on but some of our holes in the tiles are too tight, so they need filing down. Just by a mm or two. Ooops! Hope we don't break any - then we will be in trouble! Still got to do the silicone sealant and cut and fit the pipe cover. Getting there slowly at least.

Hope Dinah's Mum is okay too.

AFM I'm just working. So boring! OH is going away on a work trip (even though its his bday) so will have 5 days to myself starting tomorrow. That always helps me do a bit extra. Going to get some nice food in from M and S, and maybe a cinema matinee on my own which I love.

I love to hear all this PG talk, makes me excited for new threadie babies. Hope you will be joining soon too Cinny.

I love our blinds! We have them and black out curtains so I can pretend it's the middle of the night and not feel guilty when I have an afternoon snooze ;) Was knackered on Monday, ended up sleeping for 3 hours with the blind up, and when I woke up I was convinced it was Tuesday morning :o

I hope you're going to show us the kitchen when it's done, Lara! I imagine your house being all lovely and quirky, like it belongs in some kind of interior design magazine! (you know, no pressure!) Was it hard tiling the kitchen? OH has a week off next month and is wanting to use it to do a couple jobs around the house - tiling the kitchen being the main one, but I'm a little unsure. I know he gets bored half way through things and the only thing worse than an untiled kitchen would be a 1/3rd tiled one!

I'm hoping I'm not far behind too! Keep on telling myself most people take around 18 months, and we're only on the 9th month. So we're half way there in theory :o

Haha, no mostly IKEA for us I'm afraid :o with a few more design-y bits from clearance sales and purchased with staff discount a few years ago. I do love those design mags but never read them as everything always costs about £3000. Also OH is quite a big design fascist so I am never allowed any colours!

Tiling was easier than I expected and quite enjoyable, but still a lot of work. The splashback took a day and a half. Wall prep was a nightmare as half the plaster came off and poor old OH did some very lumpy and bumpy plastering! But you've got builders in the family - hopefully they can sort you out :) If the whole kitchen is getting tiled you might be out of action there for most of a week.

OH has sent me a picture of the blinds and they do look very swanky! :) It's all coming together finally!

Seriously impressive stuff with all the tiling Lara! I wouldn't know where to start! :o

LOL at the snooze-confusion Cinny! I've done that a few times! On my birthday OH had too much to drink at lunch and went for a lie-down at 6ish, he woke up at 8pm and came running into the living room thinking that it was 8am and he'd slept for 14 hours! :p

    Hi everyone :)

Need to try and catch up but don't ever seem to manage it! I'm taking over my new job which is great on one hand as it's very interesting but a bit scary as it's soooo busy!

Whilst taking it over I unfortunately also have 4 hours worth of commuting every day :( I seem to remember a while ago someone on here (maybe NIM?) talking about doing a similar commute? My advice: don't do it :rotfl:

Right, off to try and catch up!

    Morning all!

Replied on your thread Beccie... but that commute does sound sucky! At least the new job sounds good enough to keep you happy until you leave at the end of the year! :)

Where the flip are you Dinah?? You're going to have a hell of a spending diary update for us with this prolonged absence! :p

Have you all seen the free Body Shop lipbalm offer in the weekly e-mail? I got mine on Saturday and when I got my lipbalm (Lychee flavour!) the woman said that the voucher also entitled me to a free Body Shop card that normally costs £5 for a year's membership and you get 10% off every time you shop plus other offers and vouchers. Was quite impressed with that! I've been doing pretty well with Body Shop freebies recently! :)

Having a bit of a stress over what to wear for the vintage fair. :( Was thinking about dressing up one of my 50s style dresses that I've already got but none of them fit over my giant bloated belly now, saw a really pretty Betty Draper style dress on ebay that I could buy in a size bigger but not too sure how it'll fit and I'm trying to avoid anything with a waistband right now for sheer comfort reasons so I just don't know what to wear and with having to buy loads of new clothes now I don't really want to be spending too much on a possible one-time-wear outfit?! :o
