What about a hippy maxi dress? Curl and braid your hair and you're away
I'm unsure about what to wear myself! I'll probably just rock up with my hair pinned up, red lipstick, thinking "close enough" While Tete swishes in wearing her handmade dress!
No bodyshop love for me, I don't have one close enoughStill loving those lipbalms you sent me though Birdie, so I guess I don't really need one. (still want one) Has anyone seen the mulberry bags in the email *le sigh* I wish!
4 hour commute is crazy, that's almost my daily shift! Is it by train or car? I'd be getting through books/audiobooks like crazy.
We're all ikea too, LaraI like the sound of my kitchen being out of action for a week. Fish and chip suppers!

Arrgh just read back and can't believe your boss Flower. Boy is she in the wrong profession! Hope you pg ladies don't get too much annoying bump attention.
Worried about Dinah and her Mum now she hasn't posted an update. Hope things are all okay and that you're just enjoying nice weather and fun times.
Ooh I'm excited to hear all about the vintage fair plans.
Beccie a 4 hour commute is totally miserable, so sorry to hear that
OH is now away so I have some lovely time to myself. I like to be in the house on my own and not have to tidy up or do chores and I can just eat whatever I like. Today I am working on an unfinished chapter, so I was planning a
1 day - 1 chapter challenge, to see how much I can get done. Motivation took a nose dive yesterday and I only started work at 10:30 this morningso better get on with it!!

Ooooh I wish too Cinny! Would lurve one but sadly that's not happening any time soon!
Hmmm, I could go hippy! Will have to see if I can find anything suitable in my wardrobe otherwise it'll be back to Primark! Are you coming to the fair Lara?
Hope the challenge goes well Lara! I would secretly quite like OH to go away for a while, not because he makes a mess when I'm not there, but because he's still on his little mad tidying/sorting mission and it's getting to the stage that I have no idea where anything is now!Yesterday he cleared a shelf on the bookcase and when I asked what was going to go on it he mysteriously said 'I have plans'... I'm worried!
He's also said that he's commandeering my desk so I have a feeling that everything that was in there will be piled up on the dining table when I get home!

eek at the 4 hours commuting. I have a half hour train journey each way (walk the rest) and quite enjoy the time to read but bet that is knackering!
Anyone got any good ideas for a christening present up to about £25?
You Oh sounds so funny Birdie, bet he is getting on your nerves a bit though.0 -
WendZ, it was my nephew's christening this weekend. According to his mum the best presents were: brio train track with bigjig personalized name trains, potty, books. He also got piggy bank, money , jewellery.0

One friend always buys a collection of coins from the royal mint. It is every coin 1p, 2p etc with this years date on it mounted in card. It's quite a nice little keepsake really. Not sure how much is it though.
ETA blimey they are quite expensive. These were the cheapest I found.Goals for FebruaryDeclutter 2/50Money Made £0/£200Overpayments £0/£2000 -
Ooooh I love Brio! Great idea about personalised trains too!
My gift of choice is always the Winnie the Pooh collection, I just think it's a lovely keepsake set and people always say how nice it is.

What lovely presents! Did grace get anything special/lovely at her christening D?
Are Dinah and NIM ok? Bit worried about lack of posts! Big hugs!
Has anyone got big weekend plans?
Lara the chapter per day sounds good! Ambitious but hopefully doable! I'm not too sure on your subject (mobile phones..)? But I think, you've done the work/research, now you just have to put it onto paper in the best way to tell someone how great your work is and how exciting your findings are.. But at the same time when I wrote mine (not phd though) I tried not to get hung up on making it perfect to start with, just bash out words and then it's easier to edit them than state at a blank word doc! If you know what I mean! What length are you aiming for?
Also another thing is the cost of binding! Cost so much I didn't even get a copy for myself which I think I now regretso maybe make sure you put some money aside for printing and binding! I'm proud of my work and would like a proper copy but it was about £70!

Thanks Tink, you are so right. It took me ages to learn the hard way and stop trying to write the final thing straight away. I am still a bit precious about the words sometimes so that's a timely reminder. The whole thing has to between 80,000 - 100,000 w.
Just onto the second half of this chapter today, but going to an exhibition this afternoon with my academic mates, so I'm really excited to beak off early, at 1pm hehe. My friend is having a housewarming tomorrow night so I will just pop in for a few drinks. Some nice things to look forward to except work
Eeek not sure about binding prices, will have to check what we are required to submit and when. I keep imagining the final thing all bound and pretty, it's a good motivator. I will deffo be getting a copy for myself, but probably not until after my exam in Jan when all the corrections have been pointed out:A :heartpuls June 2014 / £2014 in 2014 / £735.97 / 36.5%0
