:rotfl: I am amazed that I managed to get to 12 weeks without anyone knowing, I was that bloated!
Maybe your colleagues were too polite to mention all the weight you had put on??:rotfl:

:rotfl::rotfl:More than likely!
Everything good here. Did have a little wobble a few days ago, saw an old family friend who didn't know I am pregnant, she then proceeded to tell me how big I am and am I sure theres only one in there. Of course she didn't know about me losing the twin (and I didn't tell her either its not something I want everyone knowing about) but why do people feel the need to comment on your size when your pregnant?!
Think DS is finally starting to understand about the baby, he has started patting my belly and saying 'babba' to it, is very sweet

I hated that. If you approached a fat woman in the street and told her how big she was you'd probably get a slap! So why is it acceptable to tell a pregnant lady she's big? "Yes love, the fact that I can no longer wear normal clothes reminds me of that EVERY day but that's for pointing it out!"
So sweet DS is starting to understand about the baby! That's so lovely! He's young enough that you won't get the awkward questions either!! "Where do babies come from?" "How do they get out?" :rotfl:
Things are good this end thank you. We are in the middle of what feels like major works to our dining room! DH has knocked the alcoves out and is preparing to build cupboards and shelving in there. I got a plasterer in yesterday to give us a quote to skim one wall (original plaster which has crackled and has had a damp proof course so very obvious change in surface half way up the wall) I also asked him to quote for the fireplace in the front room which DH has been promising to do for months. It's money we hadn't budgeted for but it means I don't have to live with another half finished project.Goals for FebruaryDeclutter 2/50Money Made £0/£200Overpayments £0/£2000 -
Sounds like its all very hectic and go go go for you! Hope the work doesn't take too long to get done.
Exactly my thoughts on people commenting on my size. Theres a woman at work who does it all the time, and i'm sure it will only be a matter of time before she tries to touch my belly. She will get a shock if/when she does :rotfl:
It didn't bother me so much with DS but I guess im just a bit more sensitive this time round. Certainly dont appreciate people asking if im sure theres only one, what am I supposed to say "well yes there is now but 9 weeks ago there were two" im sure that would go down like a lead balloonBiggest Loser Weight Loss: 13 / 20 lb0 -
Maybe you should say it once....they'd never ask again
I know what you mean though. I lost a baby at 12 weeks before I caught with DD and it really got my back up when people kept saying "so when you going to start trying for a baby then?" Or the ones who knew saying "just try again" like it was nothing. *steps down off soapbox*Goals for FebruaryDeclutter 2/50Money Made £0/£200Overpayments £0/£2000 -
Yes I am sure people see pregnancy as their opportunity to say what they like without even thinking about how it might affect you.
My manager said I hadn't gone through a 'proper' loss because I still have one left  yes I do feel very thankful that this little one is doing well but I couldn't pick my jaw up off the floor when she said that!Biggest Loser Weight Loss: 13 / 20 lb0 -

:eek::mad: what the actual......? She actually said that? :eek:Goals for FebruaryDeclutter 2/50Money Made £0/£200Overpayments £0/£2000 -
Can't believe she said that Flower!
People think they can comment on everythign when you are pregnant.
Hope Grace's christening went well Dinah and all is ok with your mum.

Flower I can't believe your boss said something so insensitive! I'd also be tempted to tell nosey people about your little lost baby too, it would make them think twice about ever saying things like that again and in a way I think it's nice to tell people that your little girl has an Angel Twin.
OH has just texted me to say that I have to eat smoked salmon tonight as it's about to go out of date and it was too expensive to bin... but blegh, I really don't feel like eating anything fishy today!
Oh and if people want to touch my belly once it stops looking like flab and more like bump I'll be slapping theirs right back! Or maybe grabbing a boob or bum cheek...Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0
