Archers, MIL certainly never asked, more presumed! At least I've got a little while to go about trying to set some ground rules about what is and what isn't acceptable. :)

Oh and having a big brother isn't all it's cracked up to be! Mine is 4 years older than me and was pretty popular at school which meant that a) I was forever known as his little sister by the people in the years above me (as well as the teachers) and b) I was totally off-limits to all these hot older boys I had crushes on! :o On the plus side, he taught me to wrestle at a young age which has come in useful! :)

Zig, my OH is the favourite too so I guess that's where a lot of the over-bearingness comes from?? Do you think you and your OH will be having babies at some point soon? :) As for Aine... is that said like Anya? Pretty. :)

Payday today! That means pretty things for me and I'm off to buy paint tonight so we can get decorating! :j

I love the name Aine too, one of NIMs cousin's is called that.

Watching the weather forecast like a hawk waiting for the weekend to cheer up as a bbq will be underwater at this rate!

Off up to Newcastle today to see Grace's lung specalist, fingers crossed he has nothing bad to say.

Good luck with Grace today! I'm sure the weather will be great for her this weekend, it always has a knack of brightening up when you need it too :)

Love the idea of names spelling out things! I was the same with my Brother, he was a bit of a class clown so everyone knew him - mostly for bad reasons! But I idolised him and proudly told everyone I was his Sister, and in turn got myself a bad rep

Must be awkward with your MIL, I think a lot of Grandparents just get so excited that lines get crossed or blurred without them knowing. I know for a fact my Mum will be that Grandma! We've already butted heads over the pram situation and that's over a theoretical child. Has anyone seen "Away We Go"? My family think we're going to be the hippy parents, with the family bed and self weaned breast feeding :rotfl:

Ziggly, don't think I'm ignoring you btw. I'm locked out of my emails!

I think this is very true. I have never had any major problems with MIL but whenever something has cropped up it has more been that shes just got that carried away and excited, not that shes intentionally trying to annoy me.

Last week for example she started going on about plans she had for DSs birthday party, it wasn't until I politely pointed out that as his parents we would be deciding what would be going on that she realised she had crossed the line a bit.

I'm sure Gracie will be given a big thumbs up today, she's such a little star! :)

How's it going at work Cinny? When do you finish? :)

My last shift is July 6th! 6 more to go :) It's okay. Mr Boss is getting a bit gossipy about me (apparently I have a "thing" with one of the guys I work with. Which is exciting!! I've never had a "thing" before!) but I've spoken to said man to tell him what's been said, and he just laughed. So there isn't any awkwardness there. But I figure, if all I have to potentially worry about is narrowminded people talking, I'm doing okay!

Hope everything went well at Grace's appointment today :)

I think Aine can be said like Anya but I prefer Áine and pronounced like Awn-yuh. Babies aren't on the cards yet but OH went away for a week for work and came back saying how much it sucked that I wasn't there and it made him realise how much he loves being with me etc. Started asking me how many kids I want and stuff! He wants a rugby team of boys I think but I know if we had a girl she'd be a right daddy's little princess. *insert eye-rolly smiley* Have you two thought about names at all or not yet?

How'd you get locked out your emails Cinny?! Tbh, I'm so [STRIKE]busy[/STRIKE] rubbish that I hadn't even noticed you'd been ignoring me! :p Not long til you finish work! Hate gossip at work. I also hate people who are really quick to chuck you under the bus but never own up to it when they make a mistake. SO annoying.

Hope everyone has a good weekend planned! My OH has never had homemade chocolate brownies () so we are going to make some, drink gin and go on a bike ride to burn it off :)

My MIL doesn't bother at all! She told me about 3 days before my wedding that she hadn't had time to go shopping so had nothing to wear  I ended up choosing her outfit there and then out of her wardrobe! My mum had lost 4 stone, saved for months and gone to every "nice" clothes shop in the valley looking for something that would make me proud of her! I was so cross with my MIL

She hasn't even been that bothered with my kids either. I kind of hoped she would make a fuss over DS being the only grandson out of 4 grandchildren but nope!

Yay to Grace! We knew she is a star anyway but always nice to have someone else say it too ;)
