We're both delighted
to be honest I hadn't even given any thought to the sex of baby was just so anxious for everything to be ok, then she suddenly asked if we wanted to know.
Was so nice to see the scan report with everything listed as 'normal'.

Great news that you're having a little girl Flower!
So glad that she's doing well!
Lovely bump pics Dinah, you were still so small when you had Grace, no wonder you never graduated to maternity wear! My belly already looks like your 17 week photo... I claim it's 'bloat' but it's more just existing flab!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. Birdie, the three of us went on holiday when I was about 15weeks pregnant with DS and for the first time ever I bought AND WORE (I know!!!) a bikini  my reasoning was that for once in my life I didn't mind if I looked a bit fat (and I did at that stage) cos I knew that I was pregnant if that makes sense. If I felt that anyone was looking at me thinking "she's a bit fat to wear that" then I could (internally obviously, I'm not a confrontational person
) say "I'm not fat I'm pregnant" :rotfl:
I know it's not a proper answer but its how I felt and its the one time I actually felt good enough about my body to wear a bikini.

Well the tiling went okay. Not perfect but not too bad either. We didn't quite get finished - two thirds done aaargh! Why do these things always take much longer than expected.
Aww lovely, Flower, so happy for you.
I'll be doing JFIJuly too Star. It sounds lovely to open up the alcoves again. Weird people for closing them off. Sounds like you have some lovely things to display.
Yay for holidays, Birdie :j

Birdie, I was the same size at 17 weeks as at 8, got bloated very early on than didn't gain anything till week 20. I bought a maternity tankini on eBay which I used after at birth (than resold it for the same price). Just make sure it has hidden support, my boobs were 2 cups bigger at that stage already.0

I like you reasoning Star! Actually, I think I'll feel a lot better about standing next to my skinny friend now as I'm not fat, I'm pregnant! The fact that I was clearly bigger than her to start off with and I've still got monster thighs and and bottom to spare don't matter!
Might just get my swimwear from Primarni in a few different sizes and styles so I can mix and match when I get there depending on how I feel. I can't really leave it until just before we go as the shops seem to stop selling decent summer clothes in August!
I think I'm going to be like you Kavics in that my bloat has hit early and won't go up or down for a fair while now!
Glad the tiling is going OK Lara.I'm buying paint tomorrow night so we can finally get started on the decorating this weekend.
OH seems to have taken on the task and seemed shocked when I said I'd help... not that I'm complaining, I'll gladly sit back and watch whilst he works hard all day!

Just lovely news about the baby girl Flower, glad all is well.
I agree that you feel better when it is bump and not 'flab' lol, I actually didn't mind wearing toghter fitting tops etc.0 -
Wah! I look somewhere between the 24 and 26 week pictures at the moment
It's not fair - if you are what you eat then surely I should be long and thin like a Pringles tube
Birdie why not just go with a bikini? Where when are you going again?
Congratulations on your little girl Flower - lovely news and glad all is wellDinah huge well done on getting the figures sorted, must be a weight off your mind - I always feel better just for checking my internet banking and knowing what I have and that's nowhere near as complicated! (Had to pinch Lara's amazing maraca-wielding smiley!) You must both feel fab after your heart to heart too, sounds like a really useful exercise. In the DFW haze it can be all to easy to forget the bigger picture in the midst of ebay and mystery shops.
Looking forward to seeing the results of JFIJ girls! I haven't got started on anything at all for JDIJ, had waaaay too much onLast of 13 days straight of being busy today so hoping to regroup a bit tomorrow
