Happy New year all. Sorry for the lack of updated debt post, but it's next on the list. Had a horrible migraine this morning, mum isn't bringing the kids back until after lunch so hopefully I can get all my money stuff in a line before then.
Spends so far this year:
1st: Nothing. Nearly spent £1 on parking at the woodland walk I took Grace to with a friend but someone gave me their ticket as they left (which I then passed on to another person as I left). So a nice free day.
2nd: £44 on groceries. Mostly for the juicing diet which was horrendous and I'm now not doing, but I will use them up alongside real food.
3rd: So far I've spent £24 on a new pair of shoes for Grace from startrite sale, usually cost about £35 so a small saving by buying in the sale, shoes are one of the things I think kids need new and from Clarks or startrite, I do get her winter boots etc at next but her everyday pair needs to fit well and she has really narrow feet. Also spent £16 getting a family pass to a farm and play centre, which is the kind of thing we do on our day off and it was half price so that'll be a day out when its dry enough for her to use the outdoor equipment.
Btw does anyone know how big threads are allowed to be before the moderators move in? I feel like it's either 100 or 200 pages.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Belated Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to everyone!
I've had almost 2 weeks off back home with the parents which has been lovely. Need to remind myself that having all my friends and family around over Christmas isn't what reality would be like now I'm feeling glum at living 4 hours away.
Work got a bit manic pre Christmas but I have been following what's going on, congratulations to Wendz on your lovely news. I'm sure there's lots more too that I've now forgotten.
Look forward to your debt update Dinah!

Hope everyone is settled back into normal post-Christmas life?! I'm now a full time worker and know I'll be flagging by Friday!
Luckily it's pretty quiet this week so I can muddle along a bit. My job title changed overnight last week and my manager has gone on holiday for 2 weeks but accepted a new role before going away so technically isn't my manager any more... so right now my job role is unclear and I have no manager to clarify what I'm supposed to be doing! So I'm mainly sulking and MSEing!
One of my resolutions is to make more of a success of my wee business; I'm planning on starting a website, anyone have a recommendation for a cheap and easy website builder?
Looking forward to getting a debt update from you Dinah, just to see your plan of attack and to know you've got things sorted again!
Oh and I think threads *should* close after 100 pages?Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -
New year, new debt tackling, new thread. Sort of fits. I did our new budget this morning but I still need to finalise the figure. Waiting for a LOT of refunds onto one card and it feels a bit fake to claim to clear £2k in a week when all I did was return around 60 bras and a few dresses I ordered for choice so I had something to fit me on Christmas day.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Hi all!!
Happy new year! Have I missed the start of a new thread?! If so please can someone point me in the right direction?!0 -
New thread, please, please come and spur me on, I need a kick up the bum to clear this. Not that I'm not keen, it's lack of time with two little ones home most of the time and needing a lot of attention. By the time they go to bed I'm spent most days and just watch 30 mins of tv before bed, not sure how I'm going to do it this time. Time to get a bit creative.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008
