    hola :hello:

Well I am super chuffed as I put my shopping into mysupermarket (which doesn't have the co-op), it came up around £55 if I had got the lot from T3sco, which would have put me over my food budget. I went and did my shop in the co-op, £42.17!!! :D

Ok so the offers were a little bit different so that had an effect, but hopefully will only need to top up on salad and bread until payday now!

    So totals update:

    Food - £66.61/£80
    Spends - £27.37/£50
    Petrol - £176.82/£180
    SFDs - 7/20

    :T

Annoyed with myself for spending money especially when I put the car insurance on the credit card and should be paying that off!

So time for damage limitation, I am declaring that my mission this week is to live out of the cupboards/freezer for food and off the £15 I have in my purse. I don't need petrol and have enough food if I meal plan/use my imagination!

    EH xx

Join me! WE shall huff and puff our way to payday together! :rotfl:

Back to reality now though. With my birthday on Thursday, I am in the process of taking stock of my life. A comment from my sister this weekend acted as a bit of a wake up call that I am not really where I want to be in any aspect of my life and so I am now on a mission to sort this. Clearing Debt is obviously a big part of this but I think I need to address other areas too!

Well done on your trip away! I used to be awful as well. It's amazing though how other aspects of your life will fall into place and become more important when you start to manage your money! It's like you realise how much you aren't living whilst being in debt and then suddenly realise just how important it is to get up and make life happen for yourself...

Well done on this mindset.. are we allowed to know the age that is about to come upon you..??

    No! ;)

To be honest this hasn't been because of the debt - more the opposite. The debt has been because I've been determined to live it up and not let money get in the way of me doing exciting things. This is now about me getting cracking on my 5 year plan (which is a bit more dull and grown up, but necessary!)

    I am now 5/10 SD

So in balance not bad..I went to big A for the yellow label buy to give me a NSD..didn't work as I needed potatoes onions and carrots..
Only spent £19.46. and the nice lady at checkout ;-)

Came home to wash out fridge..DOH...bottle of Gin I bought at Good Food Show That's where my money went...Found loads of tinned toms plus packets of spices for Mexican dishes..so defrosted the mince..used up the black eye beans that Mr T had on special a good while ago at 10p..so a chillie instead of the Big A fish pie ...loads of chillie left and it is good..

So I should have £64.96 left this month...I actually have £88.36. Probably residue from the night out in Brum..not arguing as a Harrogate thing has raised it's head if I want to go...?

Well I have so many jars and cans that I found around today..I could break even...with a little bit of popping round for lunch later kid...

This has got easier as the time has gone on..it has made me a bit errrmmmmm wary of going to the shop...Mind you today's shop at As.. Bought more frozen garlic and ginger cubes..why coz they were on offer ...have to watch that...still prone to offers hence my cupboard full of tins with best before 2011 on some...they were ok :)

And I think I have a duff £1 coin...not going to find out..someone else can :rotfl:
That's all folks ....la la da dada

This is one of the most sensible things I have read for an age, well done you for realising .

My small shop stockholding ..will I make it to the end of the month !

38 tinned tomatoes various... Last purchase last week 20@ .25p
8 jars of Loyd Grosman sauce 6 pasta 2 Indian. ( 2 last week )
4 jars Patak Indian pickles various. Not keen but on a special ( idiot)
3 Jars of Kum Lee Chinese sauces. Hoi sin, Spicy bean, Spare rib
Bottle of Encona hot pepper sauce
3 jars of Sharwoods Mango pickle
Jar of Sharwoods Kung Po sauce
1 jar of a random arrabatia pasta sauce
1 jar of Jamie Oliver pesto
2 jars of garlic and ginger paste. I felt I needed these ..forgot them
3 tins of blackeyed peas Did have loads but found these lurking
1 tin of new potatoes. No idea how long I have had these
    1 tin chick peas
    1tin red kidney beans
    19 tins Branston baked beans
9 tins of spaghetti in tomato sauce
4 tins D shape Princes ham. I never eat this. Why did I buy it. Oh yeh special offer.
6 tins of tuna in brine. Used to eat this loads ! will do a pasta bake
1 tin of white crab meat
4 tins of sardines in brine. Yep a current favourite
1 tin of anchovy fillets. Great with my boiled egg salad wrap..
Large jars of Xmas pickles: red cabbage, silver skin onions, large pickled onions, dill cues x 2, Not had Xmas here for 2 years !
Plus contents of freezer and fridge...I have only one fridge turned on..
I do have 3..... But I freeze stuff in the summer glut..I really have to consider the cost implications...

I have pasta, rice, pots, carrots, onions in stock...so I do not think I have to visit the shops ...but the draw is there...I need to curtail the setting aside bit until the spend on the CC is done....

I am indeed amazed how little I have spent so far this month, to some it will be huge.(£90.96)..but to me is an insight that I can resist the 'offers''... This money spend includes a couple of bottles of wine instead of several ! And a night out. Truly remarkable..:A

Well done to us that are staying with it...
Those that have temporarily fallen off...c 'mon jump back on :)

Catch up end of week  ( unless I have a guilt trip )
