Oddly enough, the best source of tips on peanut butter is bodybuilding forums... and there are tips on You Tube on the best way to stir your peanut butter. Requires an electric drill... :D

• Hi all,

I need to go back through the thread and read all of the posts from the past week as I've barely had time to do anything at all.
June is turning into one of the most skint months that I can remember for a long time. I've done (hopefully) the last main shop of the month - next week should be nothing more than a teeny top up.
I have literally £60 left for the month and that will need to include petrol for work as well. It's my own stupid fault because I went mad spending money while my hubby was away and that has left us a little short for the rest of the month.
Hubby seems to have realised his error in terms of treating me and the kids as if we weren't here and has started making an effort. Although he is very clearly and definitely on his last chance. I've told him he can't have a wife and kids and still have the life of a single man. He apparently has made his choice.
Hope everyone is well - I'm off to catch up with the thread.

• Evening all,
I am still with you all in spirit but unfortunately my internet connection is absolute $&%$ and keeps on dropping connection within 2 minutes of me getting online. Needless to say I am fed up and changing my provider which occurs the end of the month so will be bang to full force then. Meanwhile I've just bagged a quick whiz on a friend's computer so keep up all your good work and I'll be back soon xxx

Evening everyone.

Buffythedebtslayer, (((HUGS)))

All this talk of peanut butter is making me want it but we don't have any and I refuse to buy any :rotfl:

We're having an expensive weekend so far. Currently at my dad's in Nottingham as we have my Step-Grandad's funeral tomorrow :(. We decided to take the opportunity and spend Father's Day together but spent far too much. I was assuming I would pay for dad's drinks at the restaurant as he would be getting free food. I paid on the card for all but then Dad only gave me part of the money for Step-mums meal & drinks. Then I had to pay for parking in the city which came to £6.20 . Anyway, here are my totals.

T@sco (pull ups for DS, 2 drinks and a magazine for the car journey) £7. 23.
Petrol £40 (this is the last of the petrol budget so has to last the next 2 weeks).
Restaurant £51.20
City centre parking £4.20 (Dad give me £2 towards it though)

Grand total for today is £102.63 :eek:

I did have £35 budgeted for the restaurant and £3.60 left from leisure to cover the magazine & drinks so not so bad. I'll have to take some money from the joint account though but we're doing ok at the moment. Only council tax, sky and home insurance to come out with about £100 spare at present. Will have to be super good for the next 2 weeks so that I can put more to savings.

Tomorrow should be a SFD except for a donation to Macmillan Nurses instead of flowers for the funeral. Will hopefully catch up tomorrow if we don't get home too late but you never know how long you'll be a family get togethers.

Good eve fair Spartans!

Hope you're having a splendid weekend, end eve!

Buffythedebtslayer and wannabee_in_credit Hugs to you both! It seems that June has been a tough month for you both! x

No 'Roadkill' (What an odd MSE term) money for me this weekend...Boooo. However, I have made £40 on DVD sales today- Had an epic clear out of DVDs to a friend who is a DVD collecting fanatic! Have just finished listing a few items on fleabay and my bootsale Bootay is building up nicely. I reckon a Bootsale at the end of the month (weather permitting) will help shift some of my pre-loved possessions and make my move a lil bit easier mid- July. :cool2:

Another £50 off of the debt! :staradmin

Teeny Tiny Spend day yesterday- fruit, value yoghurts and some sugar for baking- £1.65. Finally got to spend a day in my own house (I've been house sitting) and had fun (saddo) baking, I even tried the cake in a mug do darr- which was mind blowing. A.Cake.In.A.Mug. !!
It was lovely!

Lil trip to the beach today- free parking and lunch (cheesy chippies) courtesy of OH. So a SFD for me (10 now) Love living close(ish) to the coast. The sea is my therapist!

Right, finally off to catch up on the last installment of 'The Fall.' Will catch up with 'The Returned' tomorrow eve. Ooooo x

Morning All... I have caught up on all the posts now and am ready to pen an epic. I should be in bed but I wanted to write and confess, whinge, scream and generally slump..

Firstly a massive hug to Buffy.. and WannaBe... and a YEAH for Jonesy!!

So having spent the night at a friends house I stumble home, shower and hit the town as I need to spend the £20 a colleague gave me for cupcakes.... You think it was £25 yes? Well having spent 49p of it on milk last week the rest of the fiver went in the collection plate at church..( I eat a lot of their biscuits and drink a lot of tea while I am there so this is the first time I have ever given back ...:o)..

So outta the £20 I spent £19.21 and got everything I need for baking.. and more. Hairspray, sandwich bags so I stop using the LLL's...a tin of pineapple, a naughty can of pepsi cause I was so thirsty, nuts, a mint plant and parsley to bolster my herb garden and a lot of eggs... all from Lidls!

It's Tk Maxx that was my downfall. I spend a lot of time in my room, scheming, reading and generally relaxing so I thought it was about time for a new duvet cover = £30. My towels are awful and the best thing to come home to is a hot shower = £21... I need a nice smelling room and a candle is the way forward, and one for my friend = £9.98... and I need tubs to hold my baking bits..= £9.98...£76.40 later I leave. Somewhat justifying everything that instead of hopefully paying £1200 to my debt next month I will pay £1100 and get my bits today on my CC.....:(

***Divine Retribution and a Lesson Learned the Hard Way***..... the duvet is stained. It won't come out. I have to return it. I shoulda known better! 1 of the candles won't fit in the holder I bought it for... It was like being told - YOU DIDN'T BUDGET FOR IT YOU TWIT WHAT DO YOU EXPECT!!!!

Yes they were expensive towels... (that price is for two very pretty ones)..:eek::eek:.... and I am feeling the glare of all your eyes and am on the naughty step....

It continues....

I open my money tin of birthday money..I have £160 I place into my purse in order to lodge in the Nationwide tomorrow. I re-open my purse to recount it and realise there is only £150...which is including the £10 that should be the rest of my £13.21 food budget...? Am I going mad? Is this what I get for not planning my outing, for not paying attention and for being a bit of a ditz today in general... So ultimately I only have £140 birthday money... I haven't dropped any money.. I have looked everywhere - I was just not paying attention when I counted it...

I am such a twit but at least I will get £30 back tomorrow on my CC for the duvet set I SHOULD NOT HAVE bought! Shame I have to book a flight tonight for my Dad's birthday.

I am on the naughty step for a while. With no right to correct anyone's food budget Abundant....

I will keep pushing Onwards and Upwards despite the slip up...:(
