I actually did some stuff!
From the list:
Declutter and wipe worksurfaces
Wipe all large appliances, units and kickboards
Clear and wipe out oven and hob (first time I've ever done this, I found dust that was probably older than me - as the oven almost certainly is!)
Also the windows were done late last week in the kitchen
Not loads, but some, and the oven was truly disgusting!
Also got ahead of myself with some bathroom cleaning, as I'm not in at all now until Friday - whooops!0 -
Gosh is that the time already?
So far today I have met a friend for lunch in town, met DD1 afterwards and helped her renew her railcard (wasn't the railcard that stressed her - it was the photo booth for the pictures!).
Then we wandered back through town. At home DD1 helped me set up a justgiving page for the sponsored walk I am doing for the local hospice on June 8th (that's come around fast!) Big thanks are already due to ionafan, who has very kindly sponsored me.
3 loads of washing have been done and dried - I think the ironing may be postponed until tomorrow morning... I fancy chilling with a book and Only Connect and Criminal Minds.....:jFlylady and proud of it:j0 -
We had our bath this morning (yes, bath, singular - save water and all that):money:;)
It thaws out my cold feet. Trouble is, I come back downstairs in my PJs and dressing gown and then I'll have a flush!
At least I'm warmer now though and so is the house so the heating has been turned off again. It was only on for an hour.
LW - congratulations
Lambanana - oh dear, not the news anyone wants

Six drawers and two wardrobes cleared out. Ironing will have to occur at some point before the last few bits and pieces can be put away, but it's done. I've even remembered to label the box with the winter sox, hats and gloves in, unlike last year when I was reduced to going down to the CS and asking if I could have my sox back. Very embarrassing.Better is good enough.0

Evening!
Was out all afternoon, family get together, which was lovely. My aunt had a suitcase full of photos taken from my late gran's house, so we each took a pile and removed any pics with no people in (:rotfl: I found several my granddad had taken of a carpark full of busses) then sorted the rest into family and people we didn't recognise. We'll divide the family ones later, but the task was to make the pile smaller. Found some very amusing ones of me / brother / cousins when we were young
Back home and DS is upset (he is tired, but said his ears hurt, then everybody was shouting, and he's poorly - it did get rather loud:o) anyway he is fast asleep now after a good snuggle with mum and some peace and quiet.
Had a quick whizz round putting stuff away and washing cups from supper etc, so that's enough for today. We left our gingerbread at my auntsdaren't tell the kids
perhaps they'll forget, and at least I can't eat it!
My heating has just flicked on! Been nice if breezy here. Forecast rain tomorrow, but then it was supposed to today, as well!
Working from home tomorrow, anyway, so it's no matter.
Forgot milk - again...Bossymoo

Happy Anniversary Mr and Mrs LW

Evening all, am sitting here with the french doors wide open and a lovely breeze coming through the door.
Have just decluttered the living room table and folded up all my veg boxes ready for my veg lady to collect tomorrow.D reakons she will need a van just for the empty boxes alone..:rotfl:
Had a lovely day today at the Kent Garden Show, the weather wasn't too hot but it was hot enough. Every now and again a cloud would go across the sun and cool the place down, but if there hadn't been any clouds I dread to think how hot it would have been. But I did manage to get some red bits..Luckily I was wearing a hat so shouldn't get my usual sun stroke just by looking at the sun :rotfl:
Managed to buy three plants the same as a plant I already had in a pot in the garden..doh!! Still it is a pretty little plant, has lovely yellow flowers and smells gorgeous so I don't mind. Replaced my nans rose bush that somehow managed to die last year.. Have no idea how it died but we think the frost/wind got to it. Anyway have replaced it with a smaller more compact rose bush but still one that will remember her. At the rate I am buying them for dead relatives/pets I will run out of space for roses in the back garden..:) Also got three lovely shrubs from my usual supplier of my shrubs, they will be put into biggish pots and left to establish themselves the next year or so and then put out in the garden afterwards. Managed to talk D into getting some veggies, that were already grown, so it now means he has to put the veggie gazebo/cage thingy up on the veg plot a.s.a.p. Oh and D found a rose bush called "Freddie Mercury" after his favourite bands singer. So he is a happy bunny :rotfl:
I was cooed at this morning as per normal during my shower. You will laugh though as I was downstairs in the living room before my shower and the silly dove came and landed on the brown bin outside, looked at me and cooed. Next thing I knew it had flown up the bathroom window to wait for me.. I have never heard of a dove attaching itself to a human before..it feels rather weird..lol
I have to catch up tomorrow with stuff that needs doing, and thankfully it won't be too hot as they are forecasting rain here in Kent. And my cold is on it's way out too so that is a good thing too. Plus my friend T is on holiday so she won't be nagging me to do stuff etc..:rotfl:
Well done everyone, you've all be busy today while I did nothing..except get sunburnt..lol Several of you seem to be on a roll too, don't peak too early otherwise you will wilt at the end of the week, I might just give you the grotty jobs to do at the end of the week....:rotfl:
I discovered 7 bags of raisins when I sorted the kitchen cupboard, so I've been hunting for my mother's recipe for boiled cake.
Wow iona that's a lot of raisins you have managed to store up..did you think there would be a raisin shortage some day
Valli glad you are getting better, but do make sure you don't overdo yourself hon.
LW I shall be thinking of you tomorrow when you have to call the horrible surgery, try and think of the other person at the end of the phone without any clothes on..:rotfl: That might make you feel a bit better...lol
Also "Happy Moving In Together Anniversary" - sounds like you had a good day with the bath and the "champagne" for tonight.
Hugs and spoons to everyone xx
