  • Dropped off kids in town, popped into Aldi for plain biscuits and came home. Pottered about in the kitchen and am now back in bed, utterly bushed. I must have done a fair bit of heaving last night - my throat is raw, my insides feel like I've been beaten up when I cough and my body is aching from all the gardening and weeding on Saturday. There is not a part of me that doesn't hurt.

I think I'll try and have a kip whilst everyone's out.

Not on the list but I'm ironing. Only a small pile really, but I've just been doing some of DD's tops and after ironing one I spotted a stain on it. Now checking them before I iron & found 2 more with marks on. No idea what the marks are but they've been through the WM & TD so they're going to have to soak. Guess I best add in wash stain remover to my list again. I actually think DD's uniform will make it into her wardrobe this half-term. Only other time this has happened has been Xmas & Easter :rotfl:

Must start writing the "back to school" list. I need to get her a new blazer as she's grown so much and it looks awful on her. Thank goodness all her uniform is black so you can't see when she has her jumper & blazer on that the blazer sleeves are halfway up her arms. :o

Back to finishing off the ironing. The iron is bleeping at me to let me know I've left it switched on :rotfl:

    Front lawn cut
    DS1 bed changed
Mast bed changed and new pink bedding put on :)
    New door mats purchased
    Coffee shop ultilised
DS1's prom trousers collected. Had to order them as he needed 28 short.

Aftermath of massive row here. I was given the ultimatum of him or me. I feel numb now. It has calmed down.

DS2 is screaming as he has a tiny graze on his finger.

(((Hugs))) DanceMum. Lamewolf I hope the Bank Holiday is going calmly for you.

Turning out my chest of drawers again, having given the bottom drawer over to spare towels and the bedding for our bed - the hinges were going on the settle where it used to be kept, so I've had to find another solution. Lots of clothes will be heading to the CS tomorrow, despite OH's prodding of piles of stuff set aside. 'But I like that' and all that nonsense. (He can wear it if he likes it that much, but none of it will suit him. )
    Better is good enough.

Decluttered paperwork at work but nothing in the house yet and I can't really be bothered. Very briefly met DHs son last night but we were in a noisy pub so apart from saying hello there was no conversation between us. At least DH managed to talk to him as they were sitting next to each other. We went to watch his band in a local jazz bar, they were quite good. I had been nervously watching the door before he arrived and spied him before DH did. DH has said he had a positive email today so looking forward to seeing what that says. We still need to broach actually conversation which I am still very nervous about.

Dancemum (((HUGS))) I hate rows or unpleasantness of any kind - it makes me physically ill. I hope it all blows over for you.

Mr LW had the Dusting Bug today - he volunteered, so I'm not daft enough to say no!:D Anyways, he's moved all the big dragons and dusted the surfaces, we also had the gas fire to pieces and cleaned all inside (it was minging!)

He's also found out how to set up the phone on a "night" setting so that it won't actually ring, but the answering machine will cut in straight away, and re-done the outgoing message to tell any callers if they want to contact him or me, to ring his mobile.

And he's finally got around to booking us a holiday - we shall be away for our 10th wedding anniversary.

I've been trying to keep busy to keep my mind off having to go and speak to the dreaded GP Receptionist. I know it's pathetic; but I have a hard time coping with people at the best of times, and knowing it's going to be my word against theirs (I shall take along my evidence, of course) I'm really getting wound up.:(

On a lighter note, today is exactly eleven years since I moved in with Mr LW.:o

Big sigh. Our washing machine has gone to the big laundry room in the sky :( I went to get the second load of washing out to find it was sopping wet, turned it on for another spin but nothing happened so I ended up wringing it out into the sink as best as I could (not very well, I don't have much strength in my hands) then hanging out in the hope they'd dry (still haven't checked but can tumble the last of the dampness away) Husband has taken the machine to bits and put it back together but still not spinning, the usual suspects for a broken spin are all fine so looks like we need a replacement. We didn't pay for it anyway, a family member donated it when we bought our house, they'd had it quite a few years anyway and it has done a year of hard labour with us having a baby in cloth nappies so we will get a new one. Money I could have done without spending though, isn't it always.

Other jobs done here today, cut the lawn and strimmed round the edges. Washing has been handed over to my lovely mother to do, I'm so lucky she lives nearby and is always happy to help us.

Get well wishes to those in need!

Well, I've had a reasonably productive day despite a dodgy shoulder.
I got various jobs done, than had a quick trip to the shop for furry friends (if anyone is interested, I can recommend two products, but don't think I'm supposed to do that on here so you can PM me if you want to know more) and "Adles" as it's known in our house. Came back and did more jobs while DH made ham salad lunch.
He seemed impressed with the list but needed a bit of chivvying. However he did S & S the shower room with no prompting at all!
As well as the list, I have swept and weeded in the greenhouse
, moved shelving from patio into greenhouse, moved pots, watered plants in greenhouse, swept path and put all debris into green bin. I've also (finally :o) cleaned the aquariumand decluttered the DogStar's fur coat. ;)

    Night time dailies
Prepare clothes for next day, pack lunch & bags, tidy kitchen & lounge before bed.

I'm only planning to do the night time bits and bobs ready for morning. I'm not making lunch as I will be working from home till around 12.30 so I can eat before I go to my first appointment . I've just done an on-line shop from Mr T for Thursday, only £3.50 delivery charge. It may seem lazy but DH can't carry anything much and I've got my dodgy shoulder/back/neck. LOL! What a couple of crocks. Seriously, the other day, I carried a 15kg bag of dog food and he carried my handbag! And we park about 20 yards from the house - the closest we can get to front or rear of property.

Thank you all for your posts as they are so encouraging and motivating. :T I can already see a difference after coming back to you. I'm on FB as well, but would rather spend time catching up with the posts on here than playing games. At least this is leading to a tidier, more pleasant home.
