Pots dried and PUT AWAY!!!!!! Three empty coffee jars washed. delabelled and put in recycling bin.

Shredder moved to a temporary home near a socket, plugged in and shredding has started. So now I have Charlie (budgie) chastising me for making a racket.

The birds in my life are being sorely tried by my flying!!

    Thanks for the list :D

I'm going to try and be in this week but its half term here, and I suspect I will be spending tomorrow nagging DD over her homework!

DD wants to take me to the refurbished main library in the city centre which is apparently "so cool its no longer cool and then cool all over again!":rotfl: So that's a reward for Friday IF she helps me run errands earlier in the week ;) I need to go to a bank as I have about £50 in coins sitting in the drawer needing to be deposited, and numerous watches which need fixing, so weather permitting we'll do that Wed or Thur. Shes currently somewhere in the lake district with her dad visiting family and I don't expect to see her much before 6pm at the absolute earliest :D

I was awake at 5am thanks to blue skies and bright sunshine. When I got up at 7am it was still glorious, since we needed milk I popped to Mr A's (which opened at 8am) did the shopping and was home again by 9am :D I then needed to go and see a customer but figured 9am on a bank holiday was a little early, so I waited until 10am and the change in the weather is amazing! Its now clouded right over, blowing a gale and looks like it going to chuck it down any second. Even my heating has just kicked in

Manic Monday ~ Kitchen, Utility and Dining Mess
    Only got 15 minutes

    Sweep and mop floors
    Declutter and wipe worksurfaces
    30 minutes to spare
Wipe ALL large appliances and units and kickboards
Wipe and replace all small appliances

    Young Helpers list:

    • Can you collect all the dirty plates and cups and stuff from about the house?
    • Could you fill a carrier of rubbish?
    • And let's see if you can do some dusting? Wipe away all the dust and fluff and dirt in one room!
Kitchen won't take long, but I'll leave it until after I've had lunch so I can clear all the dishes in one go (in theory). Going to go make a hot coffee now I have milk :rotfl:

Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!
  • Thanks for the lists ladies. Sadly I can't join in today - I have a S&D bug. I felt ill all night last night in work and then continued when I got home, so I'm still in my pit. OH has gone to work. Kids are playing quietly downstairs, waiting for me to get up and take them into town at 1pm for the funfair. I feel like doing that as much as having a hole drilled into my head. :(

I've cancelled work tonight as we sell food in the shop and I obviously can't be there. Annoyed as it means I've lost double time.

    LW - !!!!!!!
    juliejim - treasure your memories
Pigpen - you are on a massive roll - well done.
ionafan - boo hiss to OH's BD - shoo!

Welcome to the returners and newbies and thanks for the long-lost Twinks recipe, Valli

Hope you all have a lovely day - piddling down here - but at least I'm in bed with my newly-laundered duvets and new bedding I treated us to in Dunelm yesterday.

Hi there and a nice BH wishes to all!

Just a quick post to say I'm in again and thank you Natty for the lists. Everyone looks very busy! We've hoovered through, cleaned bathroom and kitchen, I've put away dried washing from yesterday, and sorted out two birthday cards and gifts to post tomorrow. Thankfully, I changed the bedding and washed all the towels etc yesterday as rain had been forecast - and it started pouring down a short time ago!

Just had soup and a bun and off I go to work! Good wishes and good health vibes all round, back later, R x

OMG my washing basket is empty!!! Sounds like everyone is having a productive day so far, keep it up and keep smiling :D

Doing well with my garden frog :D

MrsC- I know it was February gas which did me in. Probably had the heat on lot in half term. My electric is pretty constant at about £1.80 a day (£2 in winter). I want my debit down to zero by September as I often switch then so this should just about pay it off after the summer 3 months. I have just turned the AGA down a bit too. My Grandma used to read and note her meters everyday. I may do mine once a week for a while, they are a bit tricky to get to.

Need to iron DS2 a work shirt and see if DS1 will give him a lift to work so I can return to the garden.

Afternoon  back to join in this week.

DD1 extracted from Wolves - journey was hellish, due to 30 mile queues on M25 total time including boobie stops for DD4 and dropping off DS and DD3 at Ex's 11 hours, so glad I decided to split the journey on the way back.

Had terrible trouble getting all DD1 stuff back in car, I was stuffing washing under carseats, everyone was sitting on towels, duvet covers and pillows, even the glovebox got stuffed to capacity. I am pleased to say nothing was thrown away.

Now its time to re-integrate DD1 back into the house without a mess.

I need to get on top of my own Mt Foldmore, as DD1 wants to put everything even her clean stuff through my machine on boil wash to get it properly clean.....oh joy.

No point whinging, best start get started
The cold never bothered me anyway
