[STRIKE][/STRIKE]Valli - tis half term as you well know and it is raining!

    Morning all

Kitchen rescued from cats dancing party.

    FROG eaten

Off to shower and to take DS2 to nurse. Then I'm in the mood to fly - my mother is coming over and I have a list of jobs for her[STRIKE] to keep her out my hair [/STRIKE]as she likes to help.

    Morning all

DS1 couldn't get to sleep after work last night and asked me at 7am if he could sleep in the living room for a bit so I can get him up before I take DS2 out. No problem, really, but it's spoiled my plan of doing the LR list this morning and then spending an hour or so in the kitchen later. No doctor's appointment for him, either, so that will have to go on tomorrow's list.

As promised, the rain is here. Not sure what I'm going to do once I dropped DS2 off - probably go into town and then come back here to do jobs. Still haven't done the budget. :o

Hope everyone has a good day.

    morning all
feel lazy for not flying yesterday but weather was good and DH was off so we went for a bike ride with DS2, went up cemetery, read and stitched then had an hour in the attic and cleared out an old wardrobe that will never be used again. so that was a bit of decluttering.
going to play catch up today - hopefully out with friends for a meal tonight.

After yesterday's marathon clear out, it occurred to me this morning that one of the lodgers is exactly the size I used to be when I bought some really good clothes to smarten myself up. She's now the proud owner of a Hobbs jacket that fits her and suits her far, far better than it ever did me. I'm really pleased.

I am about to embark on the Frog. It will take me several days to get it back into the brain-space it should have been occupying before I can even begin to deal with the dreaded Chapter 10.
    Better is good enough.

Yes I know - or else I wouuld have a fit note from the docs and be properly signed off sick.
been back to docs; chest infection has 'all but cleared' and I'm back in a fortnight (well, just over as I have made an appointment for a non-working day) to review what salbutamol I have used in the interim to see if it was a one-off, triggered by cold/chest infection/hay fever or whether a longer term management strategy has to be put in place. Nebuliser has been handed back.

Plan is to fly a bit and do a sit down job afterwards.

I shall start with the living room after :coffee:

Anyone fancy joining me for a HHC @ 10?

    Have a good day all

  • Morning

"Woke up this morning, feeling fine ......."
Thanks for all the get well messages ladies.

Woo hoo - the lurgy has passed, the sun is shining and all is well in the world.

OH fell asleep on the sofa last night and is still there so that scuppers me a little but I'll crack on with something else - there's always something to do :o:o

DS has brought me a cuppa into the bedroom :A

Plan for today is do a little bit of flying, ring a friend to see if she wants to come out for a walk with her son, a little bit more flying and then I'm back in work tonight (5-10). I'll know better when I get out of my pit just how sore I am.

    Have a brilliant day everyone.

  • Cheers mrs-mp. I follow the 5:2 diet. I started with the Alternate Day Fasting one, but it was quite difficult to fit it into my daily life, but it did lose the weight quickly so was great to kick-start me off. The 5:2 is much easier to incorporate. Mon and Thursdays are my "off" days. It really works. Top tip - ice cold water! Have a glass when you feel you are flagging. It really helps. Good luck.

Right, I'm 15 mins behind on joining you lot on your HHC, but I'll clear the floors in my room and the stairs for the last 15 mins.
