Having a break for an early lunch. I am really enjoying the peace and quiet - DD1 is at the charity shop, DS is at work and DD2 is at b/f's house. I have done 2 washloads and have been attacking the ridiculous pile of ironing. Have been arranging my mum's birthday with my sister! Heading into town to my book group later, so looking forward to that! I will leave DD1 some lunch stuff ( chopped salad and watermelon - not in the same bowl) and she can have some peace and quiet too!

DS's g/f may be seeing more of him this week - her parents are away and he has volunteered to stay at hers to keep her safe:rotfl::rotfl:.. and it would seem that DD2 has left some stuff at her b/f's place ( he apparently offered her some wardrobe space, which confused her - he doesn't have a wardrobe apparently...) so I am HOPING for a peaceful week.

DD2 had agrred to do some sisterly stuff with DD1, but seems that the b/f is winning atm.... so I may get to do some stuff with DD1 :):). I like the prospect of that - but I better catch up with the ironing. Sadly it always comes back to the ironing...

macpep, so sorry my condolences to you and yours. families are so difficult arent they.

my HHC ended up running way over, and i didnt even reach the kitchen! i got called to the attic. The mess up there needed me.
anyhow ive spent an hour tunnelling through the archives. and decluttered a huge pile of magazines - dont think there is any call for gameboy monthly or N64 mags anywhere is there? no thought not. they have all been tossed down onto the landing. found 4 big boxes of muscle and fitness going back to 1986!!! (think they will be next on my cull list) just going to put kettle on grab a roll of recycling bags and start tidying the landing it will need a good dyson after as some divvy put a load of polystyrene beads in the attic among the magazine boxes and loads have come down. Got a mean scratch on my shin where i snagged it on something up there, thought it stung but didnt take any notice till i came down and DS2 asked what id done to my leg (opps).

HHC at 12 anyone? runs to make a start

    Hello, FlyFriends.:o

Macpep sorry to hear about your Gran; I guess treasuring the good memories is the way to go. My so-called family are all totally dysfunctional, so I sympathise; have a (((HUG))) mate.

Forum broke then? NO WAY am I first in in a morning!

*faints with shock* *goes to check zombie thread as clearly the time has come...*

Just having a coffee and anti-b then I am in the shower as I have to be at the docs for 9:10.
How you doin', my friend? Actually, considering my panda eyes, sallow skin, stringy hair and tendency to go "uuuuurrrrrrgggggghhhhhhh" whenever I try and move, added to the fact that my feet are falling to pieces (I left bloody footprints on the Wii balance board the other day:eek:) I may actually qualify as a zombie.:rotfl:

I found a copy of Computer Weekly from 2004 in the spare room yesterday - in fairness though, it was in the box of Dungeons & Dragons table-top figures that we'll finish painting one day, to use for protecting the table when we work on the figures.:o

I've eaten the small but highly toxic frog - been up to the surgery to sort out the mess they've made of my records. They open at 07:00 on a Tuesday so Mr LW took me before he left for work. I think they've taken on board what I said (I had evidence so they couldn't fob me off) and they say they'll try to have the script ready for me to collect tomorrow. They've also, for the third (or is it fourth?) time corrected the phone number, and this time the receptionist said she'd put an alert on the screen to draw attention to the fact that Mr LW deals with all phone calls for me.

I have a confession to make - I still haven't repaired my burgundy skirt.:( I know it's a five-minute job, and if it was an item of Mr LW's clothing, it'd have been done ages ago. *grins sheepishly*

Hi all. I always seem to post around now - a short break with a slice of toast and a cuppa before I go to work.

Tidied round, emptied DW, S&S kitchen and bathroom, and off I go in 10 mins.

Just to send healthy vibes to those who need them, happy anniversary to Lamewolf and condolences to Macpep. Macpep, one thing is for sure, that practically all families seem to have issues like this, and as you say, it's really sad that really nice adults, children and grandchildren don't have contact, through no fault if their own, with some other members of their family. Some people, whether they do it deliberately or not, seem to upset the whole family dynamics and cause upset.

I have a sister in law like this, who I have to ring tonight, so PLEASE, positive phone vibes for me. I'm already dreading it.

Good wishes all round, R x

downstairs is now all swept through, just going to run dyson along the landing and do the stairs. then should be time for DH to can for something to eat.
posts been so dealt with that, scouts meeting info for next 2 weeks, confirmation of DS2 orthodontist appt next feb! and generic letter from DS1 school wishing him well in his exams and thanking us for our support etc.
just been through a box of fabric pieces i got down out of the attic, most are keepers but the scraps have been binned, got a box of ratty tatty posters down need to check with DH if i can recycle those but dont think we are going to put rocky or rambo back up any time soon LOL.

HHC to get dysoning and washing up done before lunch then ill be back to hopefully clear the lists this afternoon
