{{Hugs}} and condolences to all who need them. Families eh?

After 36 hours in bed, I woke raring to go and got the family onboard.
Upstairs is completely hoovered and tidied, study tidied, boxes sorted for car boot/CS/Ebay. Hand-brushed the stairs and hoovered too. Taken down the shower curtain I bought a fortnight ago (what was I thinking!!!) and have replaced it with the older one. Happy now. WM x 2, did the hokey-kokey with the washing line and it's all now tumbling instead :(

Kids have each done their rooms and OH has swept, hoovered and tidied the lounge and made lunch.

DS decluttered to friends for a sleepover, dog walked and pots done.

I now feel slightly "ick" again, so am just gonna chill until 4.30 to conserve energy for tonight's shift. Might have a look at the handbag collection and see what I haven't used and have a little cull. Make up bags have been washed and are pegged out on the line ready for the car boot. Old sandals and boots are in the car boot box too.

Pigpen, where on earth do you get your energy?

    TMD xx

Piggers your frustration is tangible, through the netbook screen! The Ungrateful One needs to understand that x bedrooms and y family members = some family members sharing. Simple maths! How you get that through to a stubborn 12-year-old, I do not know, however.

So she has her own room at KHs, does she - where she doesn't live. Where she just stays from time-to-time...I would be tempted to suggest that if he's so insistent she needs her own room she could live there permanently.:p

Reminds me of a strop I had with my ex who was passing his opinion about what the Vallikids should have...I suggested that he either put up or shut up;)

He took the easy option (THERE'S a surprise) and shut up!

Been to B&M and got another 'set' of lawn edging strips to go round my 'allotment'. They were, as far as I could see, the last three *looks relieved*.

Head's thumping again. Just had a parrot.

I'll do a quick 10 mins before I head off to work. I can hardly close my underwear/smalls drawer for tights/stockings etc., I do wear thick winter tights with boots, but I can't tell you the last time I wore "sheer" type tights - I bet I haven't worn a pair in the last 10 years - time for a cull, me thinks.

OH appears to be having a lovely time outside :D

LW.. they are hobbits.. & they are just having lunch!!!

Mimi back.. she is a right miserable, ungrateful little cowbag... I don't know if it is entirely because she has been at her friends house.. the friend is a spoilt little winnie who needs a few more 'no's' flung in her direction. OR if it is entirely down to KH filling her head with sh!te.. apparently the room she shares with Moomin is 'meant for one person and why should she have to share a room?' (it is 6.5 x 10ft so not a tiny room unlike DD2's 6x7.5 room!!)... I told her to be thankful she has a room plenty of children don't!! She is so nasty!! She has her own room at KH's purely because DD1 and DD2 refuse to go so he can spread them out more, plus she thinks the world revolves around her. None of the others had their own rooms until they were 14 (she is 12) and DS2 is 17 and still shares with DS3!! (14) Sometimes I could beat her senseless she is so rude and ungrateful and nasty it makes me so cross! ... so I am ranting here before I rain my wrath on her head!

DD2 is nearly 16 and won't be here much longer I'm sure (DS2 will still be living at home at 45!! lol) and she is next in line to get her vacated room... (though if the baby is a boy he is going in there :p) but she is so selfish I am loathe to move her in there! .. I will, but I am not happy about it, it feels like 'giving in' to her behaviour.

We have exactly the same problem here albeit on a smaller scale. DD1 and DD2 share. Yes they are 22 and 19, but this is a 3 bedroomed semi and my plans for working more than dinnerlady hours were scuppered when DD1 developed ME - 8 years ago.

DD2 moans that she can't have her b/f over cos they have nowhere to go. it seems to cut no ice that I didn't share a room with DH at either his or my parents until after we were married!

Apparently I am a) the wickedest mother in the world, and b) contravening their human rights!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

But OH still doesn't know about whether he will be made redundant - and a new boiler is much higher up my priority list....

bit late but ill join you again juliejim, i made the mistake of going up in the attic again. you know you have too much stuff up there when you literally get stuck the opposite end to the hatch it took me an hour to squeeze myself over towards the eaves and wriggle through towards the hatch so i could put the pile of wood junk and clothes that might fit DS2. neither of the boys heard my pathetic cries for help. but DS2 has since made me a cuppa and he stood on the landing s i could pass stuff down to him to save keep going up and down the ladder. i've covered the landing in stuff!!! cant work out why i still have a tinky winky and a mike from monsters inc costume in the dressing up bag. come to think of it WHY do i still have a dressing up bag apart from the halloween stuff mine are all at least teens!!!!!! going to ring DD3 and see if the nursery she works at want dress up stuff either that of she can eblay the disney ones. (Apart from the girls dresses, they were given them for appearing on the tags in the shop years ago)
im trying to clear enough junk to give me room to fill a memory box each for all 5 of them. im being selective what im keeping so far ive found tons to get rid of but the attic still seems full!

off to catch JJ and reclear the landing.
