We're up.. bins emptied for the first time in 3 weeks...gggrrrrr... and one is refilled already! I don't think anyone else had had theirs emptied for 3 weeks either as they were all bursting!

Dot just finished her 3rd breakfast.. 5 Weetabix that child just ate!!!!!
Squeak on her 2nd breakfast.. These children are hollow!

OH being forced to pick up some crap from behind the door.. I like it open and it keep closing due to the quantity of crud he has stored there. I have a bedside table which is going there later... he just doesn't know about that yet :p

DW on.. filled with pans and cutlery!
2nd car seat cover on the line.

Half the recycling out, I can't manage the other box so OH can do those in a minute too.

DD2 is on kitchen cleaning duty before she is allowed out :p

The boys have a list as long as their hair! And DS2 is at college this afternoon and tomorrow afternoon for revision classes.

Just finishing my cuppa and I'll see what my list looks like!

Not done too well in my HHC. I've put the dishes away - still got another load to wash - cleared the windowsill, collected paper recycling from around the house and put that out and attempted to build the new drainer that I've bought. One of the holes isn't quite big enough though so I'll leave it for DH to sort out. Next job is to clean the kitchen window but I decided that maybe I'd better get dressed first in case anyone sees me and my dressing gown starts to gape open!

    Morning all :D

Nagging DD about homework has already begun :rotfl: I knew it wouldn't be long before she tried making excuses for not doing it. ;) Ice-cream as an incentive is already being offered. I really hope its all done (except the revision) by tonight. I hate nagging her, but when she can take 6 hours to do a piece of work that should take 30min its got to be done :(

Phoned the CSA this morning and in theory its all sorted. Just have to wait for a form to come through for me to sign, but its basically closed now. Ex and I have agreed we're waiting to see whether its really going to be this simple :rotfl:

    General:

Wipe and replace all small appliances
    Demould ceiling
Wash down walls (really noticeable dust layer appeared!)
    Clean door seals & drawers/filters
    Clean light

Dust and deweb!.. don't forget furry skirtings & picture rails
    Got an hour!
Wash any soft furnishings that need doing - saturday job while DD is out.

[STRIKE]Vacuum right the way up the stairs![/STRIKE] Sweep stairs
Sort through coats n bags n shoes etc
    Extras
    1. Sort through a handbag
    2. Sort through a cupboard or drawer of junk - "launch pad" drawer unit.
    3. 29 fling boogie... work stuff
    4. HHI - none to do ATM
    5. Wipe switches
    6. HH Paperwork - laminating stuff (No cold callers sign for door & DD's chalk art work to stop them being ruined)

Drop some washing at my mum's house
Go out and look at new washing machines!

Already done most of today's things, we wont be cleaning the windows or washing anything but the rest is done, hurrah! Just have to work on the extras now. I'm still trying to control my levels of annoyance over our washer dying yesterday but fortunately my mum is close by and accommodating! Even so trailing to her house with washing is a bit annoying and even worse it's going to be nearly two weeks waiting for a new one as we need FIL to do the electrics part as ours is wired into some sort of device in the kitchen instead of using a plug and neither of us want to go near that!

    Hi All :hello:

Iam in again this week, thanks for the lists this week although I have been keeping on top of things since last week so should be easy enough. My DS is well enough to go back to school today, he still has spots a plenty but they are all scabbed over now.

My Nana passed away on Saturday morning, she was 86, we hadn’t spoken in a few years, we hadn’t fallen out, she just decided she wanted to help the people in the family, the majority of whom, how can I put it are …rotten to the core, all the decent ones ie one of her sons, her only daughter etc & their children ie...most of her grandchildren she never bothered with, for a long time & its very sad.:( However, I have good memories of her that I will treasure, & I will go visit her grave after the funeral for some alone time & to say goodbye. One of the 'rotten eggs' was out maxing out her Credit Cards & run up a 1k phone bill whilst she was lying ill in hospital, I will never ever know why she shunned the ‘good side’ of the family, families eh?

So my listy for today, we are having a delivery of soil, chips, turf this week & working in back garden weather permitting so will do what we can in the house. The front garden is now looking lovely & monoblock was all power-washed at the weekend, we just need to get some new chips (next payday) to top up the ones already there.

Macpep - maybe she decided to focus her energies onto the ones who 'needed' help - maybe she didn't worry about the white sheep because she knew you were all fine?

Just a thought - rationalising the behaviour of others is hard to do - being 'in the middle' of dysfunctional behaviour is a whole different experience from being on the outside and looking in IYSWIM, and sometimes people feel that they can never give up on their family members when those of us on the outside would be talking about tough love etc. - but IN the situation we might well see it differently!

Anyway hope you don't mind that; it's not meant to offend and condolences to you and I'm pleased you have some happy memories and hope there will be smiles amid the tears.

Mum has been to see whta happened at the docs.

I have leather wiped the sofas (because mine were a bit dull and when I went to Mum's yesterday her sofas - exactly the same as mine but by accident rather than design - were shiny like newly opened conkers.)

I think she did focus on the ones who needed help Valli, but in my mind it could have been very different, she never met a lot of her great & great great grandchildren & the one that has maxed out the cards etc has probably been the main cause of the family split down the middle, after 30-odd years of trying to help her my nana never gave up on her, even when she was beyond help, thanks for your words & no offence taken where my family is concerned, my family is a total c*** up (pardon the french) xx

Last time I saw her, my last words were....here is my phone number, you know where I stay, come for a cuppa anytime :(

That's a shame, because, had she handled it differently she could have had the joy and pleasure of knowing her descendants.

ExOH's parents see very little of the Vallikids really; their choice. Their loss.

I also said it was a shame, as they are all lovely kids & she missed out, I don't feel guilty it was her choice & she had her reasons.

She made it easier for everyone by saying if they hadn't saw her recently then don't go to her funeral, so saves me having the will I/won't I go to the funeral conversation with my conscience x
