Apparently I am a) the wickedest mother in the world, and b) contravening their human rights!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

:rotfl: no you are their mother and have their best interests at heart. its your house and your rules and they need to learn to respect them and you.
we allow people ie BFs and GFs to sleep over (as well as friends) BUT house rules are downstairs in the lounge on separate settees! and if they want to play games or listen to music in thier rooms doors stay open!!!
im such fun arent i tell your DD she can stay at mine and shell be begging to be at yours.

a friend of mine got her DH to take their teenage DDs door off and lock it in the garage because she moaned so much about having no privacy and she slammed a door in anger. after a few days she was really sorry and begging to have her door back. they left it off for a month she never moaned again:rotfl:

Thanks for all the good wishes everyone, funeral is on Monday so I shall take the day off work, have offered that all the kids that are too small and not at school can come here if they need to, so I am doing my bit, I will then take some flowers to my Nanas grave later in the week & leave them & say my farewells then.

Just having dinner then anyone up for a HHC at 5.30?

    I'll join you macpep.

All my dishes apart from my pans are washed and put away, the WM cleaned, 1 cupboard front done and half of the floor is brushed and cleaned. I'm sure that the only job that's been done in the kitchen while DH has been off is washing dishes and the occasional wipe of the work surfaces!

My boys have not had a door for 5 years after the repeatedly slammed it until it broke. they have since been told repeatedly if they tidy their room and keep it tidy they can have a new one.. Hell will freeze over first!

I run on that too but in lesser degrees!

Valli.. I'd love it if she went, the whole atmosphere in the house changes massively when she isn't here. She is a very unpleasant personality, selfish and spiteful and not at all nice, she CAN be lovely but of late the lovely side of her seems to have gone on holiday!... and KH keeps saying to them he wants them to live with him BUT.. he won't pick them up from school even on the days he is supposed to have them, he won't keep them overnight and drop at school in a morning and he doesn't make sure they have their medication. He has never taken them to hospital appointments or doctors or attended parents evenings or anything remotely parenty. IF I cannot trust he will do those things they aren't going. Cheeky f***er said he would have the 3 girls for a couple of weeks (not the older 3 who are so much easier to look after) during summer holidays if I wanted.. because effectively 'sending them away' while we have the baby is going to be really good for them!.. and was rude enough to ask what I would do for space as they get older..

1 bookcase built. OH is just fixing it to the wall and I shall fill it while these all eat... they are getting 'I can't be bothered to cook' food... meat pies and a selection of veg lovingly thrown in the oven and a pan... that took all of 2 minutes!

Landing looking so much nicer now it is vacuumed.

I seem to have ground to a halt. Decluttering cups of tea and music vids on youtube is a lovely way to spend a gloomy afternoon, but not so productive. I've swapped some laundry around, folded towels and got the WM ready for when OH and DS1 have done in the bathroom.

Time to do OH's tea - DS1 is going to his GF's. Will see what I can feed DS2 who is not really into food at the moment. :( After my big lunch I'm not so very hungry myself.
