    Hi all.

Been to party and then out in garden. Just come in and tots having supper. Both shattered so we'll be upstairs before long.

I will do a bit of flinging later I think, DD has some undies that are tight round her legs so they need to go, and I want to sort the spare room cupboard.

We have a play date in the morning. A lady I sort of know (only to say hi to) from a playgroup many moons ago. I remember the first time we went, she told us all she lost her DH in a motorbike accident. I went home and that night I told my DH. I clung on to him unable to imagine what it must have been like for her. Little did I know I'd be wearing those shoes later that same year :( . Anyway, she is a friend of a friend on FB so we've arranged to meet in the morning. Her DS is older. Perhaps 11. But her DD is maybe only a year older than DS. So hopefully we'll have more than just that in common, and can offer each other a bit of support.

DD has decided her leg is bleeding again. I'm sure it isn't, but given its covered in a big adhesive dressing, I'm not sure how she knows ;) and DS is still clutching his arm where he decided to jump off the edge of the slide and it toppled over.

We're in a bad way here. Except me. I have an enormous cup of tea :p

Pigpen - wowee slept past 8 I'm well jealous!

Weeding done, dogs walked again. DH is now cooking tea before we go out later. Still for tomorrow's list:

    More gardening
    Sew curtains
    Make dog bed

    Have a great evening everyone.
Spend less now, work less later.
  • Been sitting in the sunshine at the footie tournament most of the day. Called at the tip and farm shop on the way back. Sorted washing and done 2 lots - 1 on the line, 1 just finishing a spin cycle. Kitchen and utility floors swept. Our bedroom floor tidied, bed made and house aired. Pots away from last night. 2 baskets of washing folded and put away. Just about to make dinner. That is all.

Well done on the littlies sleeping through, pigpen. That's a result, I'd say.

They slept past 8 but it was about 9pm they went to bed! They are going down at 7:30 tonight as OH and I are off to see Star Trek.. So we shall see what time they surface in the morning!

OH won't tell me what food he wants so I am having cereal and he can starve!

1 binbag for CS and 2 for the bin from my room.. and piles of stuff that isn't even mine! So it has been taken back to its owners and I am no nearer that chest of drawers I want to sort! (32/50 binbags I want gone this week!)

I've been having a sort too.

Happily I have some too big clothes :T and I have some too small clothes that, on reflection, I will not wear anyway, when I get there. Fling. In the process I've found 2 work tops that fit (may even be a tad loose!) and a jacket I got from m&s that I could never do up, and definitely through 2 pregnancies has languished at the back of the cupboard. I can now zip it up with room to spare :T

So lots of moving clothes around tonight. Kiddies were watching Ice Age in my bed, DD fell asleep and her cup leaked. Her sleeve was drenched, so I changed her pj top then carried her into bed - she never stirred she is that tired - bless. DS just gone off too, he was too tired for cuddles and just wanted to get in bed. Although I don't really think he's my friend today anyway.

Right, after some tips from my hairdresser this week, I'm going to try declutter some grey hair... Then will continue the cupboard...

I've resisted the temptation to go into town and just did a quick shop in our little town centre. Need to get the rest tomorrow. I still didn't manage to do everything, but I'm quite happy.

Thanks for the comments re meal planning, pigpen and valli. Problem is, if I want us to have healthy meals and not spend lots I have to plan ahead, at least for the next day. The idea was that the plan would also double as the shopping list, which is the real problem this week, as I completely lack inspiration. I have mince, stew meat and chicken in the freezer, but don't want it to get repetitive. OH is no better than the kids and there are few meals all of us like to eat. I don't think they're particularly fussy eaters (except DS2), but they have very strong preferences and dislikes which don't happen to be the same. OH would be happy with meat and bread  - my idea of food hell (and way too expensive).

Time for a cuppa and then the paid stuff. At least I don't have to collect DS1 from work tonight and can have a drink later. :D

[STRIKE]construct a draft meal plan and write shopping list[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]check Mr L/A website to see if it's worth a trip into town[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]15min each in LR, DR and DS2's room[/STRIKE]
laundry x? last load need to go out and towels to do tomorrow
HHC each in our bedroom, [STRIKE]kitchen[/STRIKE] and bathroom (started)
[STRIKE]call at sports centre to pay for next lot of swimming lessons and change time[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Call at colleague's for a coffee for an hour on way back [/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Get tea ready early (OH out for a meeting at 6.15)[/STRIKE]
Make a start with preparing for the paid stuff on Monday

MrsChaos why not keep a list of what you have for next 2-4 weeks then you will have lots to plan from. I have tried this. X

Someone reversed into my car in the last 36 hours and didn't leave a note. Grrr I popped to the garage and was told it isn't worth repairing as car is over 10 years old and it won't get worse as it is a plastic bumper.

    HHG done. Green house tidied

Hh sitting in "beach hut" curtailed when DS2 got bitten on his eyelid by some insect.

Hugs, sticks & spoons to those in need

Back from an overnighter at my mums - today is her 85th birthday!

Yesterday she found out that her best friend of 60+ years has died. Today I found a letter from a solicitor advising mum that an investment had gone t***s - up. She signed up after being cold-called.......

To put it bluntly that's about £7K of my inheritance gone...... There simply aren't words!

We had a nice lunch out to celebrate - and she loved her present (bottle of Dior perfume.) And I refrained from shouting! But I want to kill someone!

Got back okay - no drunks on the train today - and an undignified sprint across Manchester Piccadilly station got me an earlier train.

I got home to find that OH had gone to play cricket and left nothing organised for tea. So I cooked. I have raging PMT and I could eat us out of house and home (not very s/w friendly!)

DD2 has gone out with a mate - i'm off to see how she's left the bedroom....
