Would you tell?

My OH was out for dinner and drinks last night with a few of her colleagues. She wasn't drinking herself as she had to drive home. One of her male colleagues walked her to her car and then made a pass at her. She politely brushed him off, came home and told me. I have no problem, I trust her so feel like I don't have to trust every man that is alone with her. Shes an attractive woman so i cant blame him! Apparently the guy is mortified and blaming the Dutch courage. He has confessed his sins to the others in their department, while my OH was prepared to keep her mouth shut and spare his blushes. They get on well, I know him vaguely and bear him no grudge.
The thing I don't get is that all the women in her team were gob smacked she told me. They said they would have kept their mouths shut.
In the same situation ladies, would you tell? And gents, wold you want to be told?

Yes! Would definitely come home and tell DH, even though i know he trusts me completely i think it would look really bad for someone to find out at a later date through gossip etc.0

Lol!! Very kind of you!
She was raised with 4 brothers so is a total bloke herself - except she's very attractive - but has collected a lot of male friends over the years. She races cars, rides motorbikes, does martial arts - she doesn't meet many lady friends doing that kind of thing!! :rotfl: But none have ever tried it on with her, I think they all see her as one of the lads.
I think her colleague was lucky she was in a good mood and is generally just very nice. Or she could have broken both his legs without setting down her handbag!0 -
Yourself and your wife clearly have trust between you, that you can go out and socialise with friends or colleagues and never consider cheating on each other. You two obviously have a healthy open and honest approach to your relationship, so she knew she could tell you that a guy made a pass at her and that you would trust her version of events. That speaks volumes to me about the strength of your marriage. In your wifes position I would have done exactly the same thing. The best day of your life is the one on which you decide your life is your own, no apologies or excuses. No one to lean on, rely on or blame. The gift is yours - it is an amazing journey - and you alone are responsible for the quality of it. This is the day your life really begins.0

That's what I thought too! I know her colleagues, we meet often through my work as well so I'm sure the gossip would have got to me eventually. If I'd heard from one of them first I would have been annoyed. And hurt.
Can't wait to see her colleague again though.....:cool:0 -
Of course I would, I can't think of any why I wouldn't.
Perhaps the other women would have been more willing to take him up on his offer and are looking at the situation through less than trustworthy eyes?Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0 -
Well !! Having been in a similar situation I would confront HIM.. for taking the !!!!!!!!
Clearly he knows your wife is married good looking and being some kind of PLAYER ! blaming it on the fact he has had a few drinks and thinking he can be a little embarrassed about the whole thing don't wash. Stand up for yourself tell him your wife has told you about the pass he made and get HIM to apologise to you for disrespecting your married wife .
With 20 years of marriage and 2 kids behind me Whilst not condoning violence no one is taking the !!!! out my family.0 -
I would tell and probably be teased forever!
I was saying to my husband earlier that a business colleague has not phoned me back yet, and he said, "Perhaps he's got another girlfriend." (I thought I had a secret crush, lol).
I don't think that I would want to know if someone did the same to my DH. I would be quite annoyed that someone who knew he was married would have so little respect for his family.:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.0
