The youtube clip does have a cleaver and a knife but the hands do not appear as bloody.Spam Reporter Extraordinaire

"Shopping Trolley" women must be the coolest person on the planet, even more than the person filming the clip. Would you go anywhere near the guy with a cleaver with a body nearby?0

I think a better question to ask is
"Why did that boy's parent/guardian/whatever see fit to allow the BBC to inteview a child about what happened?"
An adult male was stood close to the boy with his arm around him during that interview.
He should have not allowed it to happen.
That as well. I think the BBC should not have approached the child in the first place, but indeed the adult with him should never have allowed it either. I know I wouldn't have.
JxAnd it looks like we made it once again
Yes it looks like we made it to the end0 -
Wow!
Just found this in a thread in Discussion Time:
Look at the youtube clip - is there any blood on the guy's hands or meat cleaver?
So which version is correct ie which has been altered ? I can't believe they could carry out an attack like this and not have blood on their hands, both literally and figuratively.0 -
The soldier has been named as *******, well ****, all I can say is rest in peace because you were 1000 times the man any of those two could ever dream to be, and I send my deepest sympathies to your family and friends, whose grief I can't begin to imagine - sleep tight xx
Couldn't have put it better, RIP young man.0 -
I'm pretty sick of the BBC using the phrase 'hacked to death', couldn't they tone it down a bit?0

A man was brutally murdered - no need to add to that horror by:
1. Spreading conspiracy theories
2. Adding faux upset about being in tears etc...
3. Naming the victim when the family has asked for non-disclosure
This man had a family who will miss him forever and who have to come to terms with the awful nature of his death.
Yes, we are all shocked and appalled but let's not think that we can ever be as emotionally involved / damaged as those who knew the victim and now have to suffer the personal loss of a loved one.
What we need to do for them is to show respect and restraint and not treat this as an opportunity to be armchair critics / gossips / or indulgers of over-emotional sound bites.:hello:0 -

The name of the young soldier has been made public, hence my knowledge of his identity, his family were informed yesterday afternoon, and to be honest I felt for them having to see the pictures of the incident all over the internet and the tv, it would have been prudent for the news coverage to have blurred out his body lying in the road. Absolutely awful0 -

At present, the family has asked for his name to be withheld - if you really did feel for them then you'd respect that request and not claim your moment of "ooh, guess what I've heard...".:hello:0 -

That's silly. Piglet was posting with utmost respect.0
