Can someone who has confirmed receipt of their promised account credit from Sky please tell me where the credit shows?

I have tried MySky - Bills, but it says: You currently have no bills to view.

    Thanks.

It only shows on your first bill.

They have sent me a (zero) bill, for tv only, as my line and broadband were activated a week later , and the credit was included, as well as acknowledgement that I have paid line rental saver.

Finally bit the bullet and moved my BB over to Sky. Monthly line rental and unlimited broadband for £7.50 per month.

Do you have Sky TV or not?
  • I'd also be interested to know if you have Sky TV. I ask as I am also an o2 BB customer with FREE BB until March. I haven't received a letter yet (Just some emails a few months back offering to transfer early but no set date).

My interest is that I have the BT Evening and Weekend package and they are going to start charging me £3.50 extra per month from now AND when I asked to remove that package they told me it would start a new 12 month contract (by removing an option I asked and they said yes).

I am now tempted to move to Sky (I know it's weekends only) and the pay up front (£140) to get the cost down (BB should be FREE).

However as I am a Sky TV customer, I wonder if I can push for a further discount.

I phoned a couple of weeks ago and was told that it would be January/February that I would be moved over. I was also told it would be £5pm but that was for BB only.

That doesn't sound right and it wouldn't surprise me if it's wrong. Latest chat I had with BT gave me a whole lt of wrong information. I'm in the same boat. Line Rental save finished on 17th October. Free Evening and Weekends due to finish on 14th November but I haven't heard anything from BT about renewing this so I'm waiting to see what will happen when my next bill is generated on the 12th November.

I asked what it would cost if I moved over to Sky as I was currently weighing up my options. Was told it would be free BB for a year but line rental would be just the normal price for Sky.
  • Orange or EE as it's now called, has some good offers.

As I'm technically in contract till 3rd March, although have 12 months free till then, I'm not sure if I can ask for MAC and threaten to leave. Also can't see them offering line rental and BB for £5 per month just because I have Sky tv. ....

If you want to leave, then (seemingly depends who you speak to), there is no penalty.

Annoyingly the "elite" team set up to deal with o2 queries actually seem to be set up to do everything they can to get us to migrate early, rather than deal with the query!

Presumably all down to the distinction between a "forced" migration (where they cannot impose any mimimum term contract), and one where the customer "elects" to migrate early on a new 12 month contract.
  • We were due to switch to sky broadband at the end of this month and for the past month they have rang asking if we wanted to switch early. We rejected the first few times and the last time I asked what offers could they give to switch early. Now we get sky tv the entertainment plus package, unlimited broadband and phone for 12 months and only pay the line rental. The broadband router is syncing up faster than o2 did and so far had no problems. The o2 was at about 14-16 meg and sky is at 18-19 meg. Had doubts about switching but seem to have a good deal for now.

Me too, and my broadband is faster than with o2, as well.

The quotation above, about the £3.50 charge for BT evening and weekend calls, if you don't commit to 12 months , is correct as it's the same as I got, by letter.
