  • Damn it, wish I had negotiated for the International Calls too... Oh well, you win some, you lose a lot!

So I rang this morning and I'm being offered line rental free for 12months, unlimited broadband plus Talk Anytime International (which they swear includes 0845 numbers) for £20 a month, 12 month contract. When I said I'd think about it they offered me £75 credit into my account immediately. Whatever I do they can't upgrade the 20Mb limit on my O2 account so whether I move or stay that seems a problem. They suggest my broadband speed may improve with the new router (it did last time). Apparently the chargeable number for Sky CS is free with a Sky landline.

As we might be moving in a year or so I think I will go for it as the least hassle option, if it's rotten after 12 months I can still switch. Thanks to this board for encouraging me to argue! Hope everyone does the same.

Sorry, just noticed you had got the offer with the normal broadband. Then my offer doesn't sound too bad.

It's good to share the deals/bribes available.

(Previously the credit to your account seemed to be a max of £50)

They are also doing bribes even for just migrating into a 12 month bb only contract early:

£40 credit, £5 month for unlimited bb + new router was their latest attempt.

Todays latest offer/bribe for switching bb only early:

£75 credit, £7.50/month (ie £15 in total for 12 months), + new router for unlimited bb. 12 month minimum term.

just got off the phone to Sky, after an ear bashing eventually received the above offer, said I would think about it, they pleaded to let them ring me back in 2 days, said I would ring them but might still ask for my MAC code ......

Just trying to catch up, I'm assuming this requires you to take Sky phone service? :)
    Move along, nothing to see.

    No.

    They call it "BB standalone".

Starting to look more tempting. :)

Look as if my migration has been postponed as promised, despite none of the promised official confirmation.

2nd month an BB bill still £5 in credit. :T

Starting to think whether to go with sky, £15 for the year unlimited seems to good to be true.........Do I trust Sky is the problem', you sign for a year and then they pull some unseen clause out of the woodwork and hit you in the nether regions with it.......
