MSE News: Sky takes over O2 and Be broadband: What does this mean for customers?

Well I just had a call from a very fast talking enthusiastic man from cardiff. Currently I am paying just over £15 for my BT landline and £9.50 for my o2 broadband. I told him I wasn't interested in the Sky TV as I don't want a dish on the side of my house and we really don't watch a lot of TV. He was fine with that and still said (by this time I had agreed to go with the £15.40 a month broadband unlimited and phone line rental) I can still opt to have the TV box withing a time period. just a bit too much to take in at once but to be fair, the offer is far better than what I am currently paying. Also, I can opt out after 12 months. I suppose if they think you will walk after that long they will pull out a few stops to keep you.0

The dish doesn't have to go anywhere on your house. It can be in the garden at ground level, as long as it has a line of site to the satellite.
Sky installers just bung it on the easiest and quickest location for them. Independents will put it where you want it, if practical to do so.No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -
Do you think it is worth having for free or would it be a hassle later down the line ?0

I think he mentioned something about sending the box back as it is worth £69. He was so quick speaking it was hard to take note.0

That sounds a bit Bill and Ted, whose favorite number was 69.That gum you like is coming back in style.0

I'm still waiting for my migration date letter, quite happy in the meantime just to pay the line rental and enjoy the free broadband and anytime calls. No free lunch, and no free laptop0

has anyone who has been offered sky talk weekend, tried to get the sky talk anytime upgrade for free, as currently its cheaper for my line rental to stay with post office home phone0
