Was that as a result of if you called to cancel? I didn't call them in the spring and wasn't offered this. I need to decide whether to take up the 12 months at £7.50pm or get a quote from Plusnet or EE as they seem to get good reviews.

I already have Sky TV but want to leave my landline with BT.

You do not have to take any offers yet.

They have stated that you can keep your line rental with BT if you have it with BT now.

Simply wait until you are actually transferred over onto their network.

I was on £6.25 package with O2 which goes up to £14.50 in one month and I called to cancel and was offered £7.50pm for 12 months as Sky are now answering the O2 phones.

PlusNet seem to be dearer but have good feedback :-

Well if you didn't call then you wouldn't be offered anything. Why would they volunteer it otherwise?

What I meant was did customers call specifically to cancel and get offered free BB at this point?

They have said if I want to cancel the O2 BB just 7 days notice is required and their Sky half price current offer doesn't tie customers in and you can give 30 days notice at anytime. They said the Sky BB is faster that O2 BB.

PlusNet is £1249 for unlimited BB

Just been told I was misadvised by the Sky rep and the £7.50pm ties you into a 12 month contract. Apologies so its not on 30 day notice.

Does anyone know of a better offer if its for BB only please? Debating whether to take this up right now.

Plusnet doesn't value customer loyalty and gives best deals for new customers only.My 12 month contract is up and called CS.They hardly offered any deal and showed "take it or leave it " attitude.

Thinking of trying SKY BB unlimited+phone, which I'd always avoided, because of their consistent poor reviews in the past--especially poor broadband speed. Its £3.75 pm for existing TV customers, and massive £100 cashback from Quidco.Line rental £10.75 pm if paid upfront.

Have things changed after SKY took over O2, which was always on the top of the league?
