Cheers for that, are you a Plusnet customer? What's your opinion of the service?

Yes i am have been since April (FTTC), customer service is superb on par with what 02 used to be, free call uk centre.
My internet went down today funnily enough 10 minutes on the phone and it was all sorted, he re-started it from their end

I'd go with Plusnet if they could offer their 38meg service without the 40gig monthly cap. But I've just called them and they won't, and I can't run to £20 a month for BB when the 6 month half price ends.

Anyone suggest the next best option after Plusnet??

If you can't afford it, then go with the normal Broadband. Personally, I'm a heavy user and 16Meg is more than enough for me.

I doubt you will find fibre cheaper elsewere...

Their line checker shows I'd get much slower speeds than I'm getting now with BE. I have no idea if that's actuate or not?

Once heard Sky taking over O2 decided to move but waited till after our holidays. Move took place on 24th June - went smoothly if a day early. Had a letter from O2 saying -cancel direct debit, they would send a final bill and prepaid labels to return router. Since then have received daily emails and texts saying - reinstate the direct debit or they would suspend the service! Called this morning on number they gave - and they said that the account was still in operation! (We know it isn't- as features on new service we didn't have before) therefore We needed to pay a full bill. Transferred 4 times to people who couldn't (wouldn't) help sort out problem, all they did was blame new provider and BT and O2 or Sky. Their systems seem to be in a complete mess they obviously haven't told their accounts department!

I've just called Sky to find out what they're offering BE customers and they claim to not know what I'm talking about?
The woman I spoke to had never heard of BE and in effect told me to go away...

Nice one Sky, great way to treat possible customers. . .

Well I decided to take Sky up on their offer to switch early, to coincide with the move into our new house (yay) - I know it's only for a year, but £14.50 a month for unlimited BB, phoneline AND Sky HD TV is just too good an offer to refuse - they warned me my speed would *only* be around 6MBS... but now I'm lucky if I get 3, so that shouldn't be an issue...

I just hope they manage to stick to the installation date we've arranged, nothing worse than days off work for nothing! (Still have nightmares of our BT experience!)

I'll give anything a try though me :)
