Afternoon
Happy birthday Charlies_mum.
Hope the rest of you are doing ok, if not, have a hug or two.
Been in work all day. Really need to attack the house, but I can't be bothered. With being away last weekend things have just gone. Don't ask me to be a flylady - I just can't cope with it.
So I need to iron tonight. Got "Volver" to watch on DVD so that should get me through.
We're working our way through the freezer so it's ricotta stuffed pasta shells with tomato sauce tonight mmmmm. Trouble is I need to get my head round a decent meal plan for next week which will include stocking the freezer. However, they tried to deliver my Kitchenaid today, so hopefully I'll have it by the weekend (either delivery tomorrow, or collect saturday). Woo woo. This is better than christmas.
Take care all - off to look for recipes which involve beating, mixing etc"You can't get a cup of tea big enough or a book long enough to suit me." - C.S. Lewis0 -
Hello again.
Just a quick question for all of you who know about frozen sandwiches - when you do cheese sandwiches, do you slice it or grate it? Which is easier?

Hello everybody,
Late post for me again.
Happy Birthday Charlie's_Mum
DD called me this morning so I blethered the morning away. Then unpacked, washed and went and got some groceries this arv. Went and visited Aunty J this afternoon. I was going to go to Bingo tonight but was too lazy to get ready.
I'm here tucked up in bed with my jarmies on. It was cold today. I'm freezing atm.
Twink The shortbread is . :A Kyle had eaten the pancakes & yoghurt cake. Probably why her mouth is so sore now.Hope it gets better asap.
Tired Mum Can understand you not posting. What a downer. Thanks for letting us know. I wondered where you had got to.
Catz Have a safe journey home. You sounded like you had a fab time.
Little Miss Saver Hope you're feeling better tomorrow. Here's an extra big hug from me. :grouphug:
Have a good nights sleep everyone. ByeeeeeeeeeeeDon't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia.0 -
havent heard from grannybroon for a while
twink I could be wrong but I thought grannybroon was going away for a couple of weeks (to Spain maybe)?
meanmarie is Alghero on the Costa Smerelda then? Your holiday home sounds fabulous. I hope you have a lovely time. I think the south of the island isn't as green as the north but it is lovely. (I confess that Italy has to be my favourite European country. I have travelled to a few but Italy is my favourite by far. I think I must have been Italian in a previous life.)
kyle you really should rinse your mouth with salt washes. (Mums really DO know best here.) It does help, honestly. The heat helps the pain and the salt keeps it clean. I hope you feel much better soon. ((hugs))
I have read everybody's posts but they have completely escaped me. I have been like this at w**k all week too. I'm thinking maybe my name should be changed to Tiffany, Brandy or one of those other vacuous bimbo names as I feel so ditzy this week. :rotfl:
Off to watch House. x"Bad planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part."

Hi again everyone,
Just thought that I would update everyone with regard to having my dental implants done today.
I was sedated throughout the process (thankfully, although you don't have to be  ). Honestly, didn't feel it. The fear was the worst thing but then I have to take Diazapam to just go for a check up.... Throbs like hell once the pain relief wears off.... but I have had a sleep and two nurofen (sp) and feel up to sitting on the 'puter!!!! but eating may be a little bit of a task.
At this precise minute I feel that it has been worth it apart from the fact I don't like my denture....colour is wrong and the 'teeth' look too small.....whay they couldn't have made it an exact replica of my teeth from the impression I will never know!!!!
Will try and ask Tooth smith if I can ask my dentist to redo the denture as £194 for something that is so wrong.... I don't know I'll ask toothsmiths advice.
Thanks to those who sent me a PM I have answered you x x x:heartpuls Number 1 Aunty Gok fan :heartpuls0 -

kyle I'm watching House now and Dr Cuddy had just offered to put House on tramadol to wean him off the Vicodin he is addicted to! I'm assuming it's quite a strong painkiller then.Maybe you should try half a tablet, just to see if you can get the dosage right.
emmy hope you get your teeth sorted soon. £194 for teeth that don't match does seem a trifle expensive."Bad planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part."

Well, sorry haven't even managed a dip in for the last week. After coming back from hols DH's 60th party main concern! Everything went really well. Huge shopping, food preparation, cooking on the day, dishing up etc etc. We had nearly 50 folk here and it went really well. We even managed to get gazebo uplate afternoon once winds died down. Food excess dealt with on Sunday and in freezer. We don't need to shop for weeks! DH did huge clean up on Monday when I was back at work. He was fab. By the way he wore his kilt and braveheart shirt for the party!!!!
DS and partner over and were brilliant to see from Ireland. DD etc made huge food. DGSs were brilliant. DGS1 hibernated a bit in study with dvds. DGS2 life and sole of party and was blowing kisses and saying bye bye to people he had never seen before at 10 o'clock when taken away in his jammies. We thought he would be the shy one - shows you how wrong you can be!
I was knackered when I went into work on Monday because still catching up from the hols never mind the party. Tuesday afternoon, came down with huge sweats and the biggest stomach cramps I have ever known. Proceeded to be sick for 24 hours and DH and I thought I might have to go to A&E early doors Wednesday morning. Couldn't even keep a sip of water down until just after 7.30 last night. Just don't know where it came from as no-one has reported similar probs and we were so careful with food preparation on Saturday. I wonder if it was the number of kisses I gave out! Maybe someone had something.
Anyway, hope to start keeping up with you all from beginning of next week. Love and hugs to you all and hope no-one having huge problems. Congratulations as usual to anyone celebrating.
Was supposed to have boys this weekend but postponed just in case. DD only 6 weeks to go and was glowing last Saturday. Have to keep them all healthy!
Lots of love
GB
PS DH went out and about for more Stardrops today - I told him where to go. Dearer than Asda but still under £1. He was so impressed as to how garden furniture cleaned up the other day with it. We were totally out after the weekend.0 -
Hi
I'm so tired as it's been a long and busy day. Lots of children to teach at school and then Rainbows and Brownies for my 2 DDs.
We've all been a little low today after Liverpool losing last night.I'm sure Liverpool has been a much quieter place today and some of my class didn't make it in today!
Anyway we all finish for the half-term holiday tomorrow :j and my 2 DDs have got 2 weeks off, so I've swapped some of my working days around so that I can have the second week off with them. Although it will mean working a full week after the holiday. We're going to do some jobs around the house, go on lots of bike rides and have a few lazy days. :T
I'm on a course in the morning (I don't really want to go but I have to go on so many each year) and then I'm in school in the afternoon, so I must go to bed soon.0 -
