So far it's only tiger balm and toothpaste that stops the itching if you get bitten, anything else?
  • There's this Chinese stuff called Pak Fah Yeow or White Flower Embrocation that really works to stop itching. You can buy it from most Chinese herbalist / supermarkets. If you are itching like mad, it acts like a fire extinguisher to it. It's a bit of a Chinese cure-all and is great for colds if you inhale it as with travel sickness, morning sickness etc and it smells a bit like olbas oil but more minty.

This is what it looks like:

But whatever you do, don't get it in your eyes cause it will sting like mad!

Yep. French mozzies, Belgian mozzies... pretty much anywhere with water. Difference of course is that they aren't malaria carriers - but they still bite and itch like b**gery!

    Hi

I have just ordered 4 bottles through Avon, the soft & fresh dry oil spray is 2 for £4.00 at the moment and if you enter the code TIMEPIECE you get free delivery.

Don't forget Quidco cashback too! (I forgot    )

    Sarah x

I have just ordered two bottles @ £2 each.
I entered the code BIRTHDAY and got free delivery plus 10% discount, so total spend was £3.60.
Thanks to Steph25 for the code :T

I found all of these tips very usefull as I always seem to attract the mozzies. I have had great success with the Avon spray I use it after every shower and over sun tan lotion. If you do get bitten though I have found that dabbing bites with essential oil of Niaouli stops my ankles swelling like balloons!! and it stops the itching.
