If you end up buying through Avon online, you can get 15% cashback through Quidco.
I think I will buy some on this too as we are going to Cyprus too and my daughter gets very badly attacked by mossies which then leads to scarring.

I normally get attacked by mossies.
Personally i found being pregnant keeps them off me.
Takes a little bit more planning to arrange this before a holiday though!:D0 -
Threre is a ceommeroically made mozzie spray/cream that ius made from eucaloptus and lemon, is is very very good and natual, it works as well as the deet nd doesn't react with plastics. I can't remember what it is called, but my son used it in Vietnam (hiking through the jungle). Most places that sell the good stuff will have this and it is recomemeded by quite lot of medical texts.0

Don't let them in the room in the first place - no open windows when lights are on. If one gets in the room use something with a big surface area (a pillow or magazine - yes, the pillow idea is unpleasant) and throw it up to the ceiling where the mozzie is resting to squash them (never squash a mozzie which has rested on your skin, can get horribly infected). I always take the gel sticks ('Tabard' - but I bought it in South Africa so don't know any names here) and just a couple of strokes on forehead, back of neck, one stripe down each arm and on legs and you're sorted. Don't like wastage aspect of spray, plus the gel stick is small to carry round with you.

Hi,
me again.
Theres an article in tonights local paper about avoiding mozzies.
Apparently you should keep away from dark coloured clothes as they are attracted to them - so the brighter the better, and cover up as much as poss.
Also, I was right about neem. Mozzies are attracted to your body scent but if you use neem (topically) it confuses them and they're less likely to bother you.
Bioforce make a neem insect repellent. HTH0 -
Try this: https://www.arnywear.co.uk , it's mozzie repellant impregnanted cloth. I've used a small one as a bandana on my hols and used a large one as a bedspread whilst I sleep. I've actually seen a mozzie come up to me, take one sniff of my arnywear and gone buzzing off in the opposite direction!
And if you do get bitten, bung some Benadryl cream on it and it will stop itching.0 -
You know the SAS use it?0
