I don't mind not adding to P&P for my time, as long as it is a level playing field and all sellers are doing the same.
and how do you know what a seller is paying?0 -
The actual charge made by the PO/Courier and no more.
But that would change in very complex and unpredictable ways as you added items to your basket from one seller.
Also, you wouldn't see on the parcel costs levied by 3rd party mail companies and costs like franking machine contracts.Warning: any unnecessary disclaimers appearing under my posts do not bear any connection with reality, either intended, accidental or otherwise. So what do you propose to do with those sellers that offer a flat rate? because your never going to be on a level playing field with them in regards to postal costs.
I look at a transaction on the price overall , if i feel the postage costs are way ott i just move on to a seller that is more realistic. I dont mind postage being over the stamp price so long as its not a huge massive amount.0 -

That's the primary role of a business. It's not a public service.0 -

That is true but most companies have to pander to customer expectations on a range of things which prevents them being complete barstools, online doesn't seem to have so much of that allowing the big companies more freedom to really not give a monkeys and whilst that may be praised as capitalism it's not so good for those of us at the bottom. In the game of chess you can never let your adversary see your pieces0
