I totally agree, she should never have got 7 credit cards, but life hasn't been very fair to her. See my post: wee_V Huge debts - urgently need help0 -
Say you'll accept part payment without prejudice and will be recovering the rest in court.0

Hi all
Whilst requesting information regarding charges made to my old Lloyds TSB bank accounts, I decided to enquire (out of interest originally) about charges made to my credit card account also with Lloyds. I have discovered from July 2002 to March 2005 they have been charging me with 'late payment charges' of £20 a go!
Surely this doesn't cost the bank £20 a go? After all what action do they actually take that could possible charge £20??
To date they potentially owe me £278.00! (the Odd amount is due to an odd amout they originally charged me)
Has anyone actually re-claimed these charges or can anyone offer any advice as to re-claiming these charges
Cheers in anticipation

May 2007 = £43,424.06 (approx exc mortgate)
Trust CCCS, they are the best! helping us since July 2005 and getting us where we need to be!

hi Jo. Yes. Claim them back. They may well offer you the difference between what they charged and the £12 most apply now. But read through the guidance on here - see Martin Lewis' step by step guide and stick to it. Good luck.Frosty_box wrote: »Hi all

Late Payment charges are recoverable in exactly the same was and should be included with any Over Limit charges on your summary of charges. They are still a penalty charge the bank has levied on your account.0

Hi,
received an offer from the RBS which was £300 short of what I asked for...this basically was teh my figure minus interest and I felt was pretty good. That was also teh first I heard from them and as I'd claimed for 6 years and not 5 as is the way in Scotland I thought it was a good offer so well chuffed. An extra £1054 for me to be honest.
I've now finally received my breakdown of charges from Barclaycard and Halifax. Halifax took a threat of reporting them to the Office for information. They denied they'd received my cheque... luckily my bank sent me a copy of teh cheque which had been cashed!!!! They immediatly sent the statements three days later... Amazing waht a little threat and catching tehm out can have haha
Anyway, a few questions... Can you stilla dd on interest onto credit card charges ... Is the bank interest charger still applicable and can i apply for £12 charges... I'm going to anyway ... I reckon start with a higher amount and let them haggle you down...from a higher starting point... worked with RBS so why not.
Is there anything else I need to note which is dofferent from Bank charges to credit card charges?
Thanks,
Bryan0
