Yes. The only thing is that the CCC will almost certainly try to also use the OFT ruling and reduction to £12 as justification that the charges are fair and reasonable.
Aren't there any posts involving CCC's in the Success Stories thread? I hope so - I'm taking on MINT!The acquisition of wealth is no longer the driving force in my life.0 -
Hi Guys,
Love the site! and have been putting off reclaiming since before Xmas and have decided to take action! Have a few questions and a little scared to be honest.
Q's:
1) The template letter can this also be used for claiming charges on Credit Cards?
2) Have heard the story about the Bank winning the latest case, should we be worried?
Look forward to getting some help!
Many Thanks

MBNA have offered my friend a full & final settlement, (which she isn't accepting as it's only £80, when the claim was for a few hundred). Anyway, they're written that they will automatically credit it to her account. Can they do this? She'd rather get a cheque so SHE can decide which of her debts the money goes towards and not MBNA. They will be way down the list behind the mortgage, electricity etc....
Should she write to them and say she will accept the sum offered only as part settlement and only if they send her a cheque?0 -
It is within the CC companies right to offset any loans in default using the money reclaimed. Though it is possible to negotiate how the payment is made, I wouldn't expect MBNA to be too beneficent given the circumstances,Hamsters have no tact and diplomacy, nor do they want any.0
