Hi, just wondered if anyone knew whether or not you can reclaim charges from a credit card (prior judgement made by FSA) if you have closed the account recently?0
-
This is one thing i give a sure answer too.....
.....Yes, you sure can. Closed or open, you can still get them back.0 -
You can claim on credit cards, with or without any FSA judgement (not relevant), and it doesn't matter whether the account is closed either. So claim away.Reclaimed thanks to this site:

I've just jumped on the cc charges bank wagon, really not sure how much I would have racked up with Goldfish over the past 6 years but I'm guessing a couple of hundred pounds (went through a bad patch...you know how it is!) I've just emailed them now and asked them to provide a list of the charges.0

hi
I sent letter on 20th August asking for my charges on my credit card to be repaid, I have today recieved a letter saying that they will investigate the points I have raised and I will recieve a reply shortly, but certainly no later than 4 weeks.
My question is do I send the letter before action now or should I wait until the original 14 days are up which would be the 5th of September ?
Many thanks
Lorna

Hi ... sorry to be a pain but I can't see any posts to help!
I'm looking to write to several credit card companies (including capital one / ikano finance) to get my statements off them to tally up my charges.
Is it the exact same procedure as with the banks? and do I just use the same templates? and can I do this when the accounts are now closed?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!0 -
oooh sorry ignore this - i've found a relevant post now!
does anyone know the address for HSBC credit cards though as I no longer receive statements?0 -
The only difference between claiming for Credit Cards is what you can actually claim for - but Martin has a link with this info.
Otherwise same procedure and same templates.
Also cc's are not on hold because of the "stay".
Keep to the timetable and templates, it's worth it! Good luck!0
