Can I claim from credit card

Hi there, just had a letter from Halifax bank after sending the first leter asking for lists of all charges.
I sent the letter by recorded mail on 10/08/2007 and recieved a reply today 17/08/2007 saying the usual that the request has been logged and should get reply within 14 day. Ok, this is fine but it goes onto say the usual stuff about the bank being involved in legal proceedings ect...
Does this mean because its a bank the claims are on hold???? as I thought this was only for claiming back bank charges not credit card charges.
Can anyone help please????0 -
anyone else any advice???0

I could not read the letters as the scans don't come over that wonderfully on my PC but you basically have to send them another letter saying that you reject their offer, once again ask them to repay you the full amount within 14 days and then file a court claim if they don't. Credit card charges are not affected by the OFT test case.Reclaimed thanks to this site:

Hello, I would like to make a claim on all the charges that i have got from Barlaycard and HSbc credit card but I also need to transfer the balances from these cards to a 0% one pretty quickly (before i become a student in September). Does anyone know if it will possible to reclaim the charges after i have done a balance transfer?0

Apologies if this has been covered, I have been rummaging, but with no success.
I am currently claiming from Abbey CC, Monument CC & Capital One CC. Abbey & Monument have offered me about 30% of my claim as a good will gesture. Made me want to do a gesture of my own.........
What have been other peeps experiences with CC claims, are they as successful as personal bank accounts?
My claim with Nat West personal bank acc is now in the looooong queue waiting for the OFT etc to decide what is happening. They are still charging £39 for default charges however!!
My claim with NatWest Business is ongoing - I have only recently claimed for these.
Any info on CC's would be appreciated, however,
Many thanks,

Yes people seem to have been successful with cc's,maybe if you look thru the 'success' thread you could find some messages to give you hope!
I'm working thru my cc's just now and have so far had success with Morgan Stanley aka Goldfish - hopefully others will follow!
Good luck.0 -
Capital One is really easy to crack, you have to file through MCOL, but then they agree to pay back in full pretty quickly.Reclaimed thanks to this site:
