.... can I claim back my charges on a closed account?
I paid off and closed 2 CCs but was charged on them so would like to claim them back (test case result pending of course). Also, does anyone have the address to write to for requesting statements from Goldfish credit cards?
Thanks in advance x :AMFW

The credit card reclaim process is totally unaffected by the test case - bank charges are separate to credit card charges. You can reclaim charges for going beyond the credit limit and for late payments.
Their website gives:
Goldfish
PO Box 3598
Glasgow

Thanks Crabman I really appreciate that. Do you know if I'm okay to reclaim on closed CC accounts? xMFW

It looks like you can indeed reclaim on closed accounts :T see post belowStarting a new thread regarding this subject.
Yes you can. If you no longer have the account number and branch sort code please send the bank or credit card company your name with any changes that may have happened, any relevant addresses and your date of birth and this should help them trace your account.
As always read Martin's article and then read it again before you start your claim and you'll find the addresses you need along with lots of other very useful information in the Reclaim Help Thread which is linked in my signature.

I am claiming through the FO for Crap1. They have had my claim now for about 6 weeks. Called them today to be told, it has gone to team 10 where they have to pass on to adjuidication (whatever this is supposed to mean), and should hear something in another 6-8 weeks. Although last week was told should hear in three weeks.
Come on guys, there must be plenty of bank/credit card staff out there who can advise us what the current state of play is! A couple of banking staff are already doing a great job on here and greatly appreciate.0 -
Most of my charges were on credit cards. As these are already admitted as penalty charges in the OFT report and by banks, can I still go ahead with my claims for these?
I would have thought so myself but wondering what anyone else thinks.
Also, egg continues to charge £16 for overlimit charges and stated the OFT allows Egg alone to do this, is this true?!
Many thanks for your help.0 -
There was a recommendation they should be £12, but the law has precidence. Therefore you can pursue them for full refunds.0
