Can I claim from credit card

After having a success with the bank I have decided to go on with the credit card companies. I am looking for some advice and also want to know if they have forced anyone to close their card accounts. I am with capital one and barclaycard.
Also do I use the same letter templates or are they different to cc companies.
Amend the templates to reflect your credit card charge, remove any references to overdrafts and replace with late fees, exceeding limit or whatever the breach may be.

Hi,
Is it possible to claim back late paymen fees on credit cards?
I sent a letter to my bank requesting the amount in late payment fees but they replied by saying:
"The bank belives it is fair to pass these costs on to your account, rather than absorb them into other areas of the organisation".
I'd appreciate any help anyone could give
Thanks0 -

I had an AA credit card which I eventually found out was actually HBOS. Can I use the normal template which talks about overdrafts and direct debits. Do I write to AA card services or HBOS or is it he same thing? i came to the point of putting in the banks name and wondered if AA Visa Card Services were the correct people to write too.
On a different point, is it worth just going into my branch to get the 6 years of statements? I'm with HSBC who are currently trying to "consolidate" my loans again BUT the new loan is higher interest than the one its replacing. Cheeky ferrets must think I was born yesterday. It might even break some code of conduct.0 -
